The teenage son of the leader of a Pennsylvania homeless advocacy group has been charged with murdering a homeless man who he claimed sexually assaulted his girlfriend over the summer.
Police say that 15-year-old Thomas James Niarhos, of Stowe, shot Jeremiah Waylon Hawkins, 39, in the face at point-blank range just after noon on Wednesday before yelling out, “He’s a rapist, don’t feel sorry for him,” according to court documents obtained by The Montgomery Daily Voice.
The teen had reportedly been caught by police loitering near where the fatal shooting took place, just yards from a police station, on July 13, telling officers then that Hawkins had raped his girlfriend behind a nearby dumpster. Niarhos returned to the same spot on Wednesday with his father’s .40 caliber Smith & Wesson semi-automatic firearm, which he had taken out of a locked safe, and got into a physical altercation with Hawkins, according to surveillance footage and a probable cause affidavit.

One way of treating rapists.
Anarcho-tyranny.
The lack-of-Justice System won't deal with homeless perps - but woe betide you if you deal with the problem that the Authoritays won't deal with.
The local prosecutor is part of the homeless rapist's gang, exacting revenge like the scum prosecutors in Kenosha who went after Kyle Rittenhouse.
Is this our problem? I did not bother looking.
Niarhos has been charged as an adult with first-degree murder, third-degree murder, possessing a firearm by a minor, possessing an instrument of crime and other charges, according to court documents.
He is being charged as an adult but also being charged possessing a firearm by a minor? He is being charged with first degree murder and third degree murder ... did he murder two people?
That headline requires three reads to make sense.
It's pretty SOP to charge a suspect with different degrees of murder to see what sticks. Although in Alaska it's 1st and 2nd degree murder and you also see manslaughter thrown into the mix. We don't have a third degree murder charge.
“Anarcho-tyranny.”
The police and prosecutors are becoming enemies of the American people.
Vigilantism is the path forward.
That is one heck of a headline, I had to read that thing four times before I understood it.
Derek Chauvin was convicted of first and second degree murder and manslaughter after George Floyd died of the overdose. I asked the same question - one person dead and three distinct, mutually exclusive charges? The idiots on the jury said that was no problem to them! Judge Freisler did not seem to care either as he got the result he wanted. And, of course, the prosecutor (Vyshinsky, I think) got what he wanted.
Doesn’t exactly square with the whole basic framework of human society though, at the local level...more of a “wild, wild west” move.
According to the story, the girlfriend was 15, and is now 16.
Boyfriend-Girlfried thing...kind of nonsense. An ape of marriage that means nothing, at least nothing very good.
So a bleeding heart liberal who loves homeless people has a kid, the kid gets a girlfriend, the girlfriend gets raped by a homeless man that mom advocates for, and the son finds his dad’s gun, and then gets revenge by killing the homeless guy for raping his girlfriend. Did I get that right?
“ Vigilantism is the path forward.”
Possibly, but not in broad daylight next to a police station. And especially getting seen killing one the the precious bum/illegal immigrant/ criminal/black/etc. class. Come by at night with a .22 loaded with CB caps and stuffed in a pillow and be sure you know where all the surveillance cameras are.
deterrence
But did he really have a girlfriend or was him that was assaulted.
Another piece said the police went to his girlfriend and her family after she reported “an incident”. So I think something happened to his girlfriend. Maybe rape, maybe not. Something happened by a dumpster.
I bet bleeding heart mom is rethinking her stance.
Oh, no... This boy just killed someone based on his girlfriend’s story.
If her story is true, why did her mother call detectives the next day and say, “they did not wish to pursue a criminal investigation into the matter”?
There are a number of reasons survivors of rape choose not to move forward with prosecution. The process they are subjected to is terrible, violating, often ineffective and frequently revictimizing.
Perp likely African American and police didn’t want to be ‘racist’ so they ignored the case.
Kid will be made an example of. Only blacks can murder whites and get away with it.
He’ll be charged as an adult and be shanked in prison.
If the shooter were black, he’d be out on the streets by 21.
