The problem of extremism in the military is pernicious and, to the troops, obvious. A 2020 Military Times poll survey of 1,630 active duty subscribers found that a third of them had witnessed signs of white nationalism or racism among their fellow troops. The list of pending criminal cases involving extremists with military backgrounds is long.

It’s funny how only white supremacists are mentioned. No mention of any other group there.
It’s also funny how the article overlooked US Army Major Nidal Hasan. He’s the Muslim who murdered 13 people at Fort Hood back in 2009. I guess his story just doesn’t fit the narrative.

Oh, yes. Back in 2013 Hasan got the death penalty for his 2009 Fort Hood murder spree. That it took four years to try him is itself an outrage.
But we are too weak and frightened to carry out the sentence. So Hasan is still getting his three meals a day, on our dime. And now and again he gets praised as a role model by some Muslim group somewhere.
