Q followers themselves coined the term. Every Q follower on FR was referring to the movement as "QAnon or Q Anon". Graphics and memes posted on FR and the various outlets that featured Q content consistently featured the QAnon name. On twitter, Q followers used the #QAnon hashtag. It wasn't until late 2020 that the official FR thread evolved from Qanon to Q Anon to "Q-Trust in Trump's Plan" and the directive was issued "there is no QAnon". After 2-1/2 years of the term being the default name for the "group", that ship had sailed.
Y'all aren't Prince or twitter. You can say all you want "There is no QAnon" or "We are the group formerly known as QAnon", but no one is going to call you anything but QAnon. Except in your thread. Maybe you can come up with a symbol. Then people will get it.
