TikTok video of a young woman complaining about having to work 40 hours a week went mega-viral with millions of views on social media.
The woman, who says her name is Eliza, posts under the moniker "SupposedlyASystem," and she says that it is impossible to enjoy life while working 40 hours in order to pay the rent.
"How do people manage to enjoy life while working full time?" she wrote on the video.
"So, I work 40 hours a week so I can have a two-bedroom apartment and an extra $300 a month," she says.

Imagine how hard life was during pioneer days.
Imagine how hard life was when you had to get off the sofa just to change the TV channel.
OBVIOUSLY her father was asleep on the job.
I agree with this woman. Life is night and day better since I retired.
Move to a one bedroom apartment and then you’ll have an extra $600 a month...
Not that she’d ever do it; but she should move to an area where she can find an old-fashioned young man, get married, start a family and be a homemaker.
Work 20 hours, get paid for 20 hours. She’ll learn some math pretty quickly after that.

Maybe she can try working a 60-hour week for a year or two. Then a forty-hour week will seem like a vacation.
Lol i just went back to work after an accident, after being laid up in a hospital for 2 weeks, after being basically bed ridden at home for another 2….. i was dying to get back to my full time job. Sitting around doing nothing all day is like a prison sentence. Dont know how people do it.
If you love your work (highly recommended), you won't have to complain about the time spent doing it.

Really. We trudged through a quarter acre of shag carpet just to change to ABC, NBC, or CBS. It took forEVer!

There are other ways of making money, but most people have a goal, a life’s work-writers spend most of their time writing, Elon Musk works so much he doesn’t even own a regular house. I think she ought to figure out how she does want to spend her time. If she loves horses, then she needs a job around horses, if she loves surfing, then teach surfing. If she just loves lazing around, there is no way to support yourself doing that. Even the spouse of a millionaire has responsibilities and matters to attend to and doesn’t just lie abed eating bon bons and ordering room service.
The good old days.
Try 60-80 hours a week some people are having to work. Even a 40 hour a week job on paper for someone who is salaried could be much more.
Imagine how hard our life is having to listen to you complain about having to work and take care of yourself.

In the new America you cannot enjoy life unless you work 60 plus hours a week. That is unless you’re a social media influencer or have one of those only fans sites I guess. They’re all so happy on social media.
