Article Dig Deeper Two police officers and a paramedic were reportedly fatally shot Sunday morning while responding to an incident in Burnsville, Minn.
Two local outlets, CBS affiliate WCCO and The Pioneer Press, both confirmed the deaths, citing law enforcement sources. Officials have not confirmed the reports as of press time.
At least one other officer appears to have been shot as well, according to Minnesota Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who said on X, formerly Twitter, that she and her husband are praying for the first responders and their families.
"Learned from police this morning that three officers have been shot in Burnsville. They were doing

I wondered about demographics, too. Historically, it doesn’t look like a high-crime district, but who knows what sort of recent changes have occurred.
Klobuchar et al are “Praying” for the victims’ families, even though, as a lib dem, she’s contemptuous of “thoughts and prayers” going out after shootings.
Well, at least she left out “thoughts,” which is frightening territory for dems.
Nice website!
Was the Hummer the first responders’ vehicle? For a domestic call? There’s a war on in MN.
No don’t waste one. Pull one of the old 9MTers out of storage.
I drove by the scene around 4:30am this morning on my way home from the gym. This is a rather affluent neighborhood, with houses in the $4,5,600,000+ range.
Patrol cars were parked on both sides of the street and around the corner. What struck me as odd was none of them had lights on and not an officer in sight. I had to slow roll my way though all the vehicles, so I looked everywhere and saw no one. It was at that time I decided it was best to keep moving.
There had to have been at least 15+ squads at that time.
There is no doubt a s@$^load of somalis live in Burnsville but this is not their neighborhood.
All I can do is Pray for the Officers/Emt and their families.
RE: possible fake emergency call....
A frequent ploy like the robbery of pizza or other delivery person to a vacant house.
Much worse: In the City of Detroit a derelict on night called in a false call for an EMT crew and then slashed the first responder down her face. He had used the ruse before as a common way to “get a free ride when I can’t afford one.” Changed his mind and attacked.
She testified in court “Every day for the rest of my life I will see this deep scar in my face and remember that night. They can’t fix it beyond what they’ve done with surgeries. I have to live with this forever.”
They had the bill that outlaws basically anything semi automatic introduced before this even happened.
Most? Really?
Less than a mile from family members with young kids. They moved out of a dangerous neighborhood a state away to Burnsville. This is supposed be a safe area. This sucks....
> Most? Really? <
Yeah, I had to be careful with my wording there. Because there are still a few big city Republican mayors. Dallas, for example.
Ef them. Do Not Respond.
Lots of Methodists in on the uptake of “refugees”. spit
I have flaming liberal in-laws there. Formerly gorgeous burb.
Her husband, John Bessler, a fairly well-known author, is the guy who participated in the UMinn hydroxychloroquine study and survived COVID due to Plaquenil's efficacy. Bessler was on death's doorstep, "coughing up blood" in Klubfoot's words, ventilated, in the hospital.
Note that Klubfoot was one of the first to bow out of the Democrat primary in 2020 upon demand of the Obama Army and got exactly ---k all for her fealty. Buttgag quit the same weekend and got the cush Cabinet job of all time. LOFL.
Now reported the shooter is dead. No other details.
