The letter notes that when a school has a measles outbreak, it is “normally recommended” that unvaccinated students...be kept home for three weeks “because of the high likelihood” they will be infected.
But the letter then says the state won't turn that recommendation into a mandate, at least for now. The Broward County school district said Friday that 33 of Manatee Bay’s 1,067 students don’t have at least one shot of the two-dose measles vaccine...

The article is B.S. Nowhere in his statement does Florida’s Surgeon General allow for ill students or those showing early symptoms to attend class.
“Because of the high likelihood of infection, it is
normally recommended that children stay home until the end of the infectious period, which is currently March
7, 2024. As the epidemiological investigation continues, this date could change.
“However, due to the high immunity rate in the community, as well as the burden on families and educational
cost of healthy children missing school, DOH is deferring to parents or guardians to make decisions about
school attendance. This recommendation may change as epidemiological investigations continue.”
Notice the usual recommendation (not mandate) is for all children. This certainly does not make sense in a community with either high natural or vaccine induced immunity. One of the main reasons for mass vaccination for diseases such as measles is to obtain herd immunity so that normal daily activities such as schooling can continue. Now the fearmongers are doing as they did during COVID and denying herd immunity is to be considered in making public health policy.
That parents “should” keep sick students home is a recommendation just as the CDC also does. It is not a mandate that would require an executive order telling parents they “shall” keep children out of school.
IIRC-—MMR is a basic & demanded vaccine done when kids are very young—before school age.

Once my older brother started school, he brought all the childhood illnesses home to us girls. The family doctor would come over and give us girls gamma globulin shots. Those were the days.
I on purpose exposed my kids to chicken pox. It was no big deal.
Now we are in conspiracy territory. If they move away from proven into the experimental that we now know is fraught with dangers, it can't be a benevolent intention. They fudged the data on Covid vax. They extrapolated data from young healthy subjects for older populations. They did no tests on pregnant women to see what effects are on fetuses and babies. They offered the control (or placebo) subjects vaccinations 4 weeks into the testing. When the two subjects died that took the vax, guess which category they were listed at?
As I recall, the Salk vaccine wasn’t available until I was in high school around 1956.
Mumps, Measles, Rubella vaccine wasn’t available until I had children of my own.
Yes, I was born the summer of 1942 so I’m even a little older than that corrupt, senile occupant of the oval office.
The only ‘big deal’ I remember is having a fever in the summer (measles) with no AC! I was probably 7 or 8 at the time & we didn’t get central air until we moved when I was a senior in HS. We didn’t even have AC window units in that first house, just little fans and I don’t think mom would let us turn on a fan when we were sick.
We were lucky when we were young to have a pediatrician who made house calls - he made mom feel better at least! Unfortunately, he was killed in a car wreck & the next pediatrician(s) was a group - no house calls.
Four years ago, I might have had an issue with Florida for doing this. Not anymore. The public health establishment is compromised and politicized. They are not looking out for the good of the people.
I get that.
The mRNA vaccine for covid is a disaster and should be halted.
What I’m asking is about all the other vaccines that have been around for half a century or more. They’re not mRNA are they?
If you don’t like the unvaccinated, don’t let them in.
If you don’t like the unvaccinated, don’t let them in the country.
If you let them in the country, escaping vaccination among other things, shut up.
We had measles and mumps “parties” when I was a kid.

Who knows. I don't trust the medical industry for anything. Of course the Beef and Pork Associations said they are implementing mRna injection for their livestock against different viruses and influenza's. So our food supply is being contaminated.
We got a tetanus shot, and smallpox.
I can remember an aunt who lived in an iron lung, and a guy in school who had leg braces. Polio was a very near thing before the Salk vaccine.
Indeed. It would seem to only be an issue for those kids who aren't vaccinated. Once they have it, they'll never get it again. I really don't understand the media uproar.

The Supreme Court is hearing two landmark 1st amendment cases today that could change everything. Additionally a massive measles outbreak in 17 states has the CDC sending in special investigators to see how bad it is.
