Fani Willis' Fight to Keep Her Job Is Over (multiple new witness testimonies declined)

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' fight to remain on the prosecution in former President Donald Trump's Georgia election interference case is over.

After the end of closing arguments, Judge Scott McAfee, who is presiding over the case, said he would make a decision on disqualifying her within the next two weeks. Trump's attorneys told the judge they had multiple new witness testimonies that had just come to light that morning, but McAfee refused to admit them because the defense hadn't had a chance to examine the evidence.

McAfee signaled to Trump's attorneys that he may not need any more evidence to make his decision on whether or not to disqualify Willis from the case. Trump and his co-defendants in the Fulton County case have pushed to have the district attorney and her office removed from the prosecution over misconduct allegations stemming from her romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade.

"I'd like to hear more of how some of the legal arguments apply to what has already been presented, and it may already be possible for me to make a decision without those needing to be material to that decision," McAfee said.

Willis and Wade's relationship was first revealed in a January court filing from co-defendant Michael Roman's attorney Ashleigh Merchant, who argued that their relationship was a conflict of interest that should lead to Willis' removal from the case and for the charges against her client to be dropped. Willis and Wade have maintained that their relationship did not begin until after Wade's appointment to the case.

“No. She’s Teflon. Nothing will happen.”

I agree...Another: There’s evidence of wrong doing but not enough to act on...case closed.

Removed from the case (and I’m not 100% sure about this) - she’ll next run for public office and WIN.

She is a hero in certain communities.

The article implies willis is so bad, no more evidence is needed.

Rather, the opposite is possible - “the fix is in” and judge doesn’t want any more ugly evidence in public, and will simply rule in Willis’ favor to try and end this spectacle.

Any outrage is now possible in this country run by DC marxists and the KGB-DOJ

No. She’s Teflon. Nothing will happen.

I STRONGLY suspect Hussein 0bama is working behind the scenes to ensure that nothing happens to her and the case against Trump doesn't fail.

“McAfee signaled to Trump’s attorneys that he may not need any more evidence to make his decision on whether or not to disqualify Willis from the case.”

Fani is burnt toast. The only thing worse than the concise closing arguments of Trump’s attorneys were the painful arguments from fani’s. Abonta (spelling) sounded like someone replaced a lawyer with trained seal.

To get away with these stunts the left lawfare folks need judges to sign off and many, like hunter’s plea deal, aren’t willing to follow them into oblivion.

I think you are wrong. The text messages alone are enough to do her in.

Yep! 2 weeks to render a decision? He probably thinks that in two weeks the American people will forget the disastrous trial this lizard, home wrecker evil witch had. Yes the fix is in! Our judicial system is a disaster and run by nothing but communist insane evil American hating people.

At this point legal action and sanctions against Trump and/or his lawyers for the way this case is exposing the incompetence and corruption of the government and it’s employees is probably in the works.

It’s threatening our democracy when you show how it actually works in a court of law.

I agree with your assessment. This judge will not outright dismiss the case but will punt it so he can save himself.

OTOH, the judge said he would rule in two weeks. Currently, he has no one running against him in the judicial election, and the time to get on the ballot will be over in ... two weeks.

Is Fani Willis, or perhaps Jeff DiSantis, clever enough to get some crony to enter the judicial race, and do whatever is needed to qualify, at this late hour? Maybe. But they would also have to gamble that so-doing would end any reservations the judge might have about dismissing them.

She perjured herself before the court and admitted to using campaign contributions for personal expenses in her testimony. Both are FELONIES. She made the entire justice system in Georgia look like a joke.

She’s got to go.

Willis and Wade have really done serious damage to the Fulton County's DA office.

The Judge will probably try to protect the institution of the Fulton County justice system while putting a stop to the Fani Willis Witch Hunt by removing the tainted prosecutors and Fulton County from the case.

He has more than enough to dismiss the entire case but not sure he is willing to go that far. Suspect that he will let another Georgia entity make that call. One thing for sure, Fani and Wade have fun and eventful election year in store for them. Probably going to be too preoccupied for that trip to the Seychelles Islands this year.

I think the Obama shadow government is going to give up on her as being too flawed. She will be regarded like some of the 2022 Republican candidates are - that is, not sufficiently vetted to support again.

She will lose her GA law license for a year, pay some minor court costs and a small fine, write a book and then join a big Atlanta law firm as a DEI hire and keep up her Grey Goose-only” lifestyle.

I have a feeling that McAfee might be thinking that no matter how he rules he will be voted out for even allowing the hearing in the first place.

I think that McAfee is on a fast track and if he's removed by the voters of Fulton County, Gov. Kemp will just appoint him to something else.

She was put where she is for a reason by people with power. The reason is still operational. Therefore, she will remain.

They could replace her. If she remains, she remains an embarassment to their Get Trump case.
