'Biden's DEI rules are worse than HAMAS': Top microchip makers are postponing US expansion and instead expanding in dangerous Israel and Russia because American grants come with so many 'equity' caveats

Top microchip makers are postponing their expansion into the U.S. and setting up shop in Israel and Russia due to equity caveats that are required for them to receive grants from the U.S. government.

The Biden administration promised earlier this year that they would be handing out $39 billion in grants to encourage semiconductor manufacturing in the U.S.

Shortly after the announcement however, Intel announced they would be holding off on their Columbus factory, while Samsung also delayed their facility in Texas.

Despite the billions in subsidies, two experts believe the tech companies' decision to back out of building manufacturing facilities in the U.S. stems from the diversity, equity and inclusion policy.

In an opinion piece for The Hill, CEO of Strive Asset Management Matt Cole and head of research at the company, Chris Nicholson, say the subsidies are so 'loaded with DEI that it can't move.'

“A Russian soldier opines on the quality of NATO equipment (language warning).”

Thanks, I saw some other videos where the Russians were also pissed off at NATO. I think the problem was that they trained really hard, got amped up really good, and then tore through the Western hardware like we tore through Iraqi hardware in 1991. THEY WANTED SOME REAL COMBAT, DAMMIT.

Anyway, pretty scary to think that there are people RIGHT HERE, on FR, still claiming that our equipment is superior to their equipment. IDIOTS.

“The pair say that Intel has now built manufacturing plants in Poland and Israel, meaning they would rather deal with threat of Hamas rockets and Russian aggression than the government’s DEI regime”

Our equipment IS superior to theirs...25-30 years ago.

The Army and Marines are so outdated it's not even funny. The U.S. has been running a bluff on the world for some time now. What serious military runs 40-year-old tank and APC designs?

Yep, I have enough experience and contacts to not be surprised that our weapons are PURE CRAP compared to what’s needed today. So, yeah, it was OBVIOUS that this would happen if we started a war in Ukraine, and now it has happened.

Our stuff works. But we can't continue to use our million dollar missiles to take out cheap drones by the Houthis.

If we get a full scale war with China, we are going to get into it with our pants down unless we get rid of Biden.

Nah. Nukes.

I don’t know if Arizona has the surplus water for this project anyway. From what I understand semiconductor plants need a lot of water.

Our Navy and Air Force have always fared better in the funding and equipment department versus our neglected ground forces, which I was mainly referencing.

“to receive grants from the U.S. government.

No. This is money that is stolen from the taxpayers, or put on the national debt, or both.

Have you thanked your GOPe congresspuke lately?

Could be but I doubt they would have gotten as far they did if they couldn’t provide sufficient water. They had gotten to the point of hiring workers...just to find that skilled American workers no longer exist (they instead went to college for DEI studies).

So the Republicans in the Senate must have gone along and approved all this nonsense in order to get it past the filibuster. Correct?

Maybe they could build in Florida where Governor DeSantis has eviscerated DEI mandates?

He has no control over federal mandates.
