What’s really going on here? Trump is correct that banning Tik Tok would benefit Facebook. And more to the point, his Truth Social would take some hits.
Harvesting data isn’t really a big issue in USA unlike EU. Meta and Google are all guilty of doing what TikTok is doing.
They may be, but do they send 25 Billion Dollars revenue annually to China?
The main difference is that the Deep State does not have access to TikTok. They can do whatever they want with Meta and Google. But all of the information is in China.

Congress is against Tik Tok because the FBI isn’t granted a backdoor access to spy on its users like American based social media sites.
