Well this is MO and not IL or NY so release is not guaranteed. A lot depends on the D.A. who will be taking on the case. If it were Kim Gardiner, the girl might find herself released because of Gardner’s incompetence, i.e. not sending a prosecutor to an arraignment. One murder got let out that way.

But Kim is gone and the new guy has promised to clean house, so we can only wait and see. If she’s declared a juvenile, then all bets are off. We won’t be allowed to know what her punishment is or even her name.
