BREAKING: Judge Rules Fani Willis Can Continue Trump Prosecution—But There's a Catch
PJ Media ^ | 03/15/2024 | Chris Queen

Fulton County, Ga., Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee made his decision on whether District Attorney Fani Willis can continue prosecuting Donald Trump and 18 other co-defendants on corruption charges.

McAfee ruled that Willis can continue to prosecute the former president and his co-defendants, but he has given the state multiple options to handle the case. All options involve Nathan Wade stepping away from the team.

“The prosecution of this case cannot proceed until the State selects one of two options,” McAfee wrote in his decision. “The District Attorney may choose to step aside, along with the whole of her office, and refer the prosecution to the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council for reassignment... Alternatively, (Special Assistant District Attorney) Wade can withdraw, allowing the District Attorney, the Defendants, and the public to move forward without his presence or remuneration distracting from and potentially compromising the merits of this case.”

Willis campaigned as an anti-corruption candidate in 2020 because accusations of sexual and financial wrongdoing surrounded her predecessor, Paul Howard. She declared to an interviewer that the people of Fulton County “deserve a DA that won't have sex with his employees [and] won't put money in their own pocket.”

McAfee ordered a hearing into Willis’ conflicts of interest after reports surfaced in January that Willis was allegedly carrying on an affair with Nathan Wade, an attorney she hired as a special counsel on the case. Despite his lack of experience with RICO cases, Willis paid him more than more experienced attorneys for his work.

Willis also allegedly dispatched Wade to meet with Biden administration officials about the Trump prosecution.

“Wade is out regardless of the two choices. No choice allows Wade to continue.”

Which makes no sense, legal or otherwise.... since as the DA, it is Willis that is bound by law and ethics to have not done what she did (perjury, misuse of public funds, quid-pro-quo affair at taxpayer expense, making public statements that taint an ongoing case and damage the reputations of the defendant’s defense team, etc.).

Willis is the one that should be held to that higher standard... that being to NOT engage in her own private RICO activities... even while prosecuting Trump for RICO activities...

and yet she is the one being given a choice here. It’s BS.

Dr Steve Turley commented this is exactly how the election will be stolen again. Judges that change the legal standard.

The left is always one step ahead of MAGA. They know full well Trump cannot come back into office. Once you understand that proposition, then you will understand what comes next.

This isn’t hard to predict.

“If appeals are filed, absolutely No Chance this trial gets going before Nov. of 2024...”

Attorney Kenneth Chesebro has already pleaded guilty in the Georgia election interference case involving former President Donald Trump and his allies. His lawyer, Scott Grubman, spoke with CBS News congressional correspondent Nikole Killion about Friday’s ruling that allows District Attorney Fani Willis to stay on the case as long as Nathan Wade steps aside.

This might be a case of how to eat an elephant; one bite at a time.

If the damage is already done, the judge might have to deal with that one bite at a time.

First bite, remove the appearance of a conflict.

Second bite, address the contamination.

Fortunately for the prosecution, this case is still in pre-trial motions so no jury has been seated yet. The judge might think that they can deal with a tainted jury pool later when they move to seating a jury.

Who knows, but there are still many bites to go.

One other factor to consider is that this judge may likely lose his seat before the trial moves to the trial phase, so what happens if McAfee loses his reelection and a new judge has to take over the case?

Trump is not going to get into office. I said it from the get-go. “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”

I have not seen anyone mention the fact that the case against Trump was initiated by an unlawfully taped phone conversation.

The tape of the Trump-Raffensperger phone call was recorded from a phone in Florida, where it is a criminal offense to tape a phone call unless ALL parties are informed and consent.

The conversation was taped by a Raffensperger employee who was in north Florida at that time.

This fact was concealed, and then obstructed, for months after it happened.

“Can’t have sex with wade. For how long?”

Actually, now that Wade has resigned... they can continue like rabbits. Let’s just hope they don’t reproduce.

“Trump is not going to get into office. I said it from the get-go. “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”

I have had real bad feelings all along that Jack Smith, Satan’s lookalike, is going to arrest Trump soon. I put nothing past these cretins. As they have proven, time and time again and most recently in this Fani Willis fiasco...

the law, facts and truth don’t matter. Only what ‘they say matters’ matters.

We really need to change that. By any means necessary.

Just sayin.

President Trump's Secret Service detail is going to let Smith's FBI agents haul Trump away?

“In other words, it’s either Willis or Wade.”

***********

This was a kangaroo kourt from the get go designed to protect Willis. The outcome is no surprise. This judicial sidestep did a lot to damage the image of an already damaged judicial system.

Its painfully apparent that the system is completely broken.

Oh, and you can be sure that whoever replaced Wade will be worse. He was an inept imbecile. They will make sure to find someone with better chops this time, and that could actually be worse for Trump.

“President Trump’s Secret Service detail is going to let Smith’s FBI agents haul Trump away?”

You tell me. What’s the legality on that? If a rigged trial deems him guilty, will the SS stand down and allow him to be taken into custody? This is totally unprecedented ... so how does anyone know what would happen? I only know that what shouldn’t be happening... HAS happened and still IS happening.

We are so deep into banana republic territory that simply voting isn’t going to save our nation.

“I suspect this Judge will be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life...along with his family...”

When you sell out to evil and sacrifice your integrity for your presumed safety or whatever other ‘perks’ you think you’ll get... you deserve whatever consequences you will suffer for making bad choices. This man is a “judge” and supposedly held to higher standards.

“We are so deep into banana republic territory that simply voting isn’t going to save our nation.”

Voting for the past several decades has proven that. Trump’s win in 2016 was a fluke that caught the Marxists off-guard. They have since... recalculated ...and it probably won’t happen again.

If only our side was equally capable of doing the math. Half of them just aren’t that bright and half of them are seemingly in on the “transformation” of America. We only have a scant few real patriots and statesmen/women that have a working brain and are ‘for’ America as founded.

How did this happen? We have observed the changes for the past few decades.... but apparently were too busy to act to change anything. We must have just assumed that things would get better and would be ok. It never is when evil is allowed to thrive and increase, unabated.

If Trump were to be found guilty and sentenced to prison, the Secret Service could not legally prevent him from being taken into custody. At most, they would have input into how he is incarcerated to prevent danger to his life. That might mean a form of solitary confinement and having final say on the guards, etc. But they couldn’t refuse to allow him to be incarcerated.

Here is what we can assume.

SS used to be under the Treasury Department, but now it's in Homeland.

The FBI is under Justice.

This means that it's a conversation between Garland and Mayorkas. Any guesses on how THAT conversation might go?
