The economics, and scope, of the issues across the Catholic church, say it is endemic in ways no other religious institution has ever seen on earth.
One small reason is that the Catholic church can’t say it’s following what is in post #20.

So, yeah, it's where the money is, as compared to the thousands of independent Protestant organizations and local school systems.
Lawyers go for the deep pockets.
One might think that other Christians would be next for attack from lawfare, but it seems the sexual grooming of children is becoming something to be encouraged by government.
Maybe they'll start using people who want to stop it.
Oh wait, they already are. The FBI considers conservative Catholics "domestic terrorists." That means me. Maybe they won't get around to caring about whatever you are.

The FBI sucks, big time, over any such designations of Catholics.
There is no basis for it, and it is incredibly concerning, for all.
