Donald Trump Jr. is lobbying his father to select a running mate who can take a punch — and hit back even harder, he told The Post.
“What I want in that role is I want a fighter,” Trump Jr. said. “I understand what they are going to throw at us.
“In 2016 you needed someone to balance out [the ticket] — that’s where Mike Pence made sense, sort of the yin and yang, but [given] the vicious nature of the swamp and the insanity we see on a daily basis, you need someone who can take those hits,” said Trump Jr., 46, the oldest of the former president’s five children.

I hope Don Jr gets his way with the type of VP his father nominates. If nothing else, he needs someone who the establishment fears as much as they do Trump for life insurance. Nominate someone at all moderate or slightly establishment sympathetic and I expect the Deep State to assassinate him.

I don’t see any evidence Flynn has the personality for the politics of the VP slot or even for any politics. He needs to be either NatSecAdvisor (The job Sessions helped drive him out of! Are we still waiting for Sessions to save the day?) or DNI. DNI with the portfolio to reform, disband if necessary shatter and reconstitute the cozy cabal of the IC.

DJT’s life insurance policy is to pick someone who is as objectionable to the Swamp and the uni-party as he is.

I understand the sentiment but this is a VP who attends funerals. We need someone who can articulate and debate the Presidents agenda.
But foremost the VP needs to be someone who helps Trump win the Presidency. If Trump doesn’t win what is the point?
Look it up. The President and VP cannot be from the same state.
