What exactly is the downside of letting Russia take over ukraine? Why would we care? Maybe they’ll let us know where Biden was laundering his money
Continuing the war only guarantees more Ukrainians die and that Ukraine will lose more territory.
No surrender! How about peace talks and a lull in the fighting? Maybe this can be settled at the peace table. Biden should send Trump to make a deal? Ukraine pulls out of the Donbas but gets to keep Odessa? Anything is better than this bloodbath.

That was tried with Minsk II. As Angela Merkel confirmed, that ceasefire was used to gain time for Ukraine to rearm. It is not an available option to gain time again.
I guess those who were crowing about how Russia was getting hit hard never imagined that there might be some sort of retaliation...
