They can name bridges whatever the hell they want, I will always make reference to the original names as long as I'm alive.

For example, I still use "Tappan Zee" for the bridge crossing the Hudson at Tarrytown and "Triboro Bridge" for the one that goes over the East River at Astoria Park (Queens).
