Latino voters rejected the accusation that former President Donald Trump is a "threat to democracy" in a recent interview with CBS News, telling network reporter Weijia Jiang they’re "not buying" the line that "democracy is on the ballot in 2024."
Three Hispanic Arizona residents spoke to Jiang for a segment that aired on "CBS Evening News" on Wednesday, telling her they don't believe the Trump "threat" a bit and think the media and Democratic Party are "using it to death."
The notable moment came when Jiang said to the three voters, "President Biden has called Trump a threat to democracy and made it a central part of his campaign. Is democracy on the ballot in 2024?"
All three smiled as soon as the question was asked, and one even began laughing at it.
Republican business owner Steve Macias, replied, "I don’t buy that argument."
The one who was laughing, independent voter Raquel Glowden, chimed in, saying, "I don’t, either."
Macias continued: "I mean, to me now, that’s just another talking point. Every time I hear it, I just kind of tune it out."
"I know," Glowden added.
Ripping the talking point even further, Macias said, "It’s something that, you know, some focus group came up with, and now they're just using it to death."
Glowden accused the media and the Democratic Party of not even understanding what democracy means. She said, "I really don't think they understand what democracy is when they say that. You know, the fact that there is a ballot is democracy.

When I hear Bye-done say “democracy is on the ballot” I always think....that’s about the only thing I’ve heard him say I agree with. All one has to do is look at the past 3 years, including what Bye-done has done to his political enemies to see how close he has pushed the country to the edge of losing it.
Unfortunately, a LOT of people believe the Dems’ lie. I live in an upward-scale SW suburb of Minneapolis, in a seniors’ retirement residence and the vast majority of these upper-middle class people watch the legacy media and believe everything that they are told. It’s sad.
Things we were warned about Trump in 2016
1) If elected he would cause a depression
2) If elected he would start World War 3
3) If elected he would put liberals & journalists in concentration camps
4) If elected he would use his power to put political enemies (ie Hillary Clinton) in jail
5) If elected Blacks would be put back into slavery
6) If elected he would sell out the United States to the Russians
7) If elected he would fire most government employees (even though legally he can’t)
8) If elected there would be mass deportations and Hispanic citizens would be deported also
9) If elected he would be corrupt and use his office for personal gain
10) If elected abortion would become illegal and the the US would become a theocracy
I can’t recall any of those things happening

As opposed to the things Trump said in 2020 about if Biden gets elected: A lot of what Trump said came true: Border became a mess again, record inflation, gas prices, interest rates doubled, crime going crazy in dem run cities. Of course whatever it was or is, to the Biden admin, and the left wing media, it’s all Trumps fault.... When the reality is they are causing all this shit with the open borders, the green new deal fantasy, displayed weakness in foreign policy (Afghanistan pull out, China spy balloon, China owning our diplomats in meetings, Cash flow to Iran resulting in Oct 7th) oh yeah that’s all Trumps fault....Orange man bad...
