No idea if there was any evidence or witnesses to a gunshot. The scuffle was visible in the video, as was the Chief flooring it directly into traffic. He obviously didn’t look, as there was traffic in both directions. The car on his left was lucky they were paying attention.
There was clearly a male sitting about 50’ from the two fighting. I would imagine there was a big search for that witness, but not a word in the story about that.
Btw, when the alleged shot was fired, the man sitting in the chair on the sidewalk 50’ away, did not move, he did not jump up or run for cover. He remained seated. Seems a bit odd.
