Nonprofits are a nightmare. I saw an after-school program years ago that was clicking off two boxes - 'helping kids whose parents worked (after school programs) - mixed with an exconvict job program (getting jobs for people recently released from prison). Clicking off two boxes helps secure funding. The Homeless industry is one of the worst... but that's a different story.
They got a free day off for sexually abusing a child. This is how predators are cultivated and rewarded.
Parents have solution available...
Find the miscreants, remove their genitals, then SSS...
Fixed.
Remember when everyone thought unionized “teachers” teaching toddlers “sex ed” in elementary school wasn’t a good idea?
Depends on where you are from, yes Americans years ago knew something like this incident was criminal, what if you are from the middle east, Africa or some other culture where women are treated a common property.
I have no way of knowing for sure, when reports like this don’t mention the race or ethnicity of the people involved, usually it means the criminals are from some protected class aka African American, Muslims, or your random illegal immigrant from some 3rd world hellhole.
The students were just practicing what they read in the school library.
Most states have a Mandatory Reporter law for child abuse, usually applies to teachers, medical, and school officials. They MUST report child abuse to law enforcement. Sometimes it’s a Felony to fail to report it.
The family transferred their kids to another district
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
“Forcisbly penetrating”? Why don’t they come out and say what it is, i.e., “raping”?
What exactly happened in this case?
How old were the boys who abused the girl?
The article says that they penetrated her. Were they old enough to penetrate her meaning sexual intercourse? Did they abuse her in some other way?
Overall the ages of the perpetrators will really determine what sort of legal punishment can ever happen.
Does it mention how old the boys were?
No information about the perps at all.
About the dumbest suggestion I’ve ever read on FR.
When little kids do sexual assaults they need an extreme intervention, but a victim’s parent castrating them is going to result in prison for the parent and separation from a child who needs the guidance, comfort, and protection of her parents.
Here it is 2024, I’m 69, and with all of the shit I have done in my life and all of the shit I’ve been accused of doing it still boils down to the simple fact that I have no kids in school as the deciding factor of me not being in prison.
I would track down and execute every one of the little bastards.
Portland must be a great place to live if you’re a socialist.
“’Forcisbly penetrating’? Why don’t they come out and say what it is, i.e., ‘raping’?’”
Probably because the penetration was by an object or fingers. Not trying to be crude, but the boys who did this might not have the physical ability to “rape”.
Usually, the oldest children in the same school as a nine-year-old would be 11 or 12. However, since some of the other incidents leading up to this involved the girl’s classmates, it’s likely these boys were her age at the time—9.
I bet all the gender grooming and kiddie sex being discussed in the Portland classrooms played a role in this rape. It blew up in the faculties face.
