Do you accept every woke meme fed to you by the government, or just regarding wolves?
There is a reason every civilization wiped out wolves (if they could), and it wasn’t because wolves were incredible caretakers of the environment and mother earth.
Regarding coyotes being more lethal than wolves, can I have whatever you are smoking, cause that is some strong stuff? Any of a fox, a cat, and a weasel will also empty out a henhouse in minutes, that doesn’t make them more lethal than wolves. And yes, I know that coyotes will (occassionally) kill a calf or foal, but a coyote causes nowhere near the damage to a herd that a wolf will, and that isn’t even debatable. For example, reintroduction of the wolf to Yellowstone decimated the local elk herds, and there were coyotes there the whole time.
Since you say you have been hunting for most of your life, I am sure you appreciate that you were providing the predator-prey balance to nature. There are lots of ways to keep that balance. You don’t need a wolf.
As a Texan, I have never been proven wrong. There is nothing more sadistic corrupt and ignorant than a Wyoming rancher. IF this guy is a rancher.
I believe my own lying eyes-not govt-regarding just about anything, so don’t make assumptions about someone you do not know, sir-and there is no need to be rude, either. I am a health nut-do not eat any non-organic, processed food-only grass-fed meat, fresh veggies etc-I do not use any drugs, prescription or illicit and seldom OTC. I seldom drink-so no, I don’t have any strong smoking/drinking stuff-again, don’t make assumptions-it is rude.
If you have ever studied/observed the natural world, you would see that introduced predators are never as good at keeping natural balance as the original ones-that is why there are game counts and hunting seasons with licenses for both predator and prey-to keep the balance. I was raised on a ranch in W. Texas and I live in a remote area now-so I know a bit about coyotes and livestock. Feral dogs in packs are actually the worst killers of livestock-beats both coyotes and wolves-fortunately, packs of feral dogs are dispatched as soon as they are known to be raiding livestock. Coyotes are more clever than dogs or wolves and hard to control for a natural balance.
And yes, coyotes can take more than one or two calves/goats now and then-a good sized pack can do more-and as I said before-they are NOT afraid of humans where wolves are-coyotes take pet cats and dogs all the time from yards as fast food here-and have attacked humans more than once-do not go alone in coyote territory.
