Mike Johnson Praises CNN’s Jake Tapper Off-Air: ‘You’re Always Fair’
Breitbart ^ | 17 April 2024 | Bradley Jaye

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) had kind words for far-left CNN host Jake Tapper Wednesday after the cameras appeared to turn dark.

“You’re always fair,” a mic’d up Johnson said during an exchange heard by Breitbart News moments after Johnson’s long appearance on CNN’s The Lead with Jake Tapper.

Johnson joined Tapper remotely from outside the House floor in the Capitol as a handful of reporters looked on. He remarked during the interview that he had known Tapper, a proven leftwing partisan known for broadcasting false claims, for a long time.

Johnson used his CNN appearance to tout his foreign aid package – endorsed Wednesday by President Joe Biden – which would send tens of billions in American taxpayer aid to Ukraine. Since a March flip-flop, Johnson has made funding Ukraine a priority after previously opposing the funding.

The embattled Speaker made a similar high-profile reversal on the Foreign Service Intelligence Act, supporting a FISA extension that passed earlier in April.

Gaetz didn’t nominate Johnson, did he? Gaetz called out McCarthy for being a big fat liar and once again doing the opposite of what he promised.

That this little creep stepped up and ran for speaker is not on Matt, is it?

Elitist tool.

Like it or not Johnson is quite typical of the Republicans who have held elected office since I became of voting age.

Ford and his chief of staff Tricky Dicky Cheney were Rockefeller Republicans.

There is a good argument that the Rockefeller Republicans stole the 1976 nomination from Reagan.

Some say Reagan was forced to take on the former head of the CIA as he VP.

Whether that is true or not, the decision to put a former head of the CIA one heart beat away from the POTUS almost got Reagan killed.

Rockefeller Republicans rebranded under the Bush/Cheney crime family as “compassionate” conservatives.

Duncan Hunter introduced the proper term to describe Jethro Bodine Bush and his so-called brain, Karl Rove when he referred to the Teddy Kennedy wing of the Republican Party.

No need to characterize Juan McCain or Pierre Delecto, everyone on this forum is familiar with their treachery.

And along came Trump, who freed all of us traditional Republican voters held hostage by the GOPe.

Problem is I doubt if there is one Republican in the Senate who has an ounce of blood bearing the populism and nationalism possessed by Trump.

Not much better in the House.

It’s not so much that MTG may have voted for Frank Luntz’s husband in the speaker election after the 2018 House take back, it was she unashamedly carried his water.

And this Thomas Massie character is as fickle as they come.

But to their credit both are offering resistance to an elitist tool Speaker who just got his latest proposal backed by the lowest man to ever occupy this Republic’s highest office.

Well, I sure know what we would have gotten if we left McCarthy in there...
Lied to 16 ways to Wednesday and the old Paul Ryan express train to the poor house.

The first thing you would get from a speaker Jeffreys and a dem Senate?... The end of all tax cuts. That would amount to the mother of ALL tax increases across the board.

I agree... Like I said, both picked by the neocon establishment majority.

Mike Johnson thinks you’re stupid. He is a steaming pile of shit. First clue was how easily he got the speaker’s gavel. Anyone truly worthy of the speaker-ship will be denied from here on. The shit-storm hasn’t even started yet. Just wait until they steal 2024.

Add "smarmy little prick" to that description and you've nailed it. Another corrupt, leftist/globalist-rumpswabbing parasite feeding off the money we're forced to part with every year. We are funding our national suicide. There's something highly degenerate about that.

I heard that podcast and Bongino (said like many others) thinks it will be even worse without Johnson. The other view that many see the GOPe as no better than the rats and Johnson being a classic uniparty sellout to the dems that shows no real difference. We are gonna hit $40 trillion in debt by the end of the decade, an open border, a welfare nation, and a current Speaker who refuses to defend our 1st Amendment, the budget and so forth. That we have two distinct political parties is just an illusion and we have to start somewhere. The unlimited GOPe spending and total failure to do anything about our borders while spending billions of our tax dollars (more debt) for other countries to protect their borders while our rights continue to be eroded at a frightening pace is a mindset of crossing the Rubicon.

Kinda’ off topic but as a fellow Michigander, I’d like to hear your opinion on why MI lost both the state house and the state senate at the same time for the first time in decades. I bet it is a similar theme to what is going on a federal level.
