So, you would buy a car without test driving it?

I expect a new car to work with few flaws. I expect a used one to have some problems, sometimes serious.
New cars have four wheels, an engine and go from A to B. What else is there to know about the mechanical aspects of the vehicle? Aside from that you either find it appealing or not.

A new car test driven once or twice is a lot different than a multi-owner beater with 200k miles on the odometer and a wore out drive train.
