Agreed.

Some of the posters on this thread won’t appreciate what they have until it’s gone. They can trash Boebert all they want. I hope they get the karma they deserve.

2nd in line of succession... NO! You have to vote this position as though they are going to be President. Cray Cray is a disqualifier.

To do otherwise is to tell the voters that Republicans can’t govern.

Uh, Republican's can't govern. One would have thought that that is obvious at this point. What is needed, going forward, is for those citizens who still care about this country, and who wish to "make America America again," is to realize that GOP, Inc. doesn't share their values, that they need to find an alternative. Or create one.

Time's running out. It's very late in the day.

I question Boebert’s private life.

I don’t question Boebert’s commitment to the Constitution. (Not often - everybody has their policy faults) I think it’s worth a shot. Boebert for Speaker.

No, we don’t need someone with a history of public drunkeness and abohrent behavior as speaker...

I mean, What the bloody hell...

Might as well just let the Dems pick the speaker if anyone is seriously considering this.

The GOP has had a run of gracious and polite Speakers who are willing to compromise. What has that gotten us?

This is my thoughts also. Heretofore, we have made a good faith effort to use a scalpel to shape the House and help tamp down on the corruption, but the Deep State would have none of it.

So perhaps it’s now time to bring out the sledge hammer and perform a more thorough tearing-down and rebuilding of the institution.

“We’ve had enough messes as House Speaker”

I have absolutely no idea where this comment comes from.

Every time the Establishment comes to us to sell us on some puke that needs to be speaker, it’s always propaganda like this:

Oh look at John Boehner, he’s a good guy! He has a great family!
Oh look at Paul Ryan, he’s a young, fresh face!
Oh look at Kevin McCarthy, he’s a fierce fighter, unquestioning loyalty, blah blah blah.
Oh look at Mike Johnson. He’s a strong strong Christian, he is this he is that he is the other thing. Great family! Great family!

I’m sick of the GOP Establishment picking the speakers and giving control to the Democrats.

No way, she does not have the gravatas for the role. Besides, she keeps popping up in the news drunk.

Boebert’s personal life will be a problem, but the real problem is the only GOP members capable of garnering enough votes for Speaker are squishy RINO’s. McCarthy and Johnson suck, but they are symptoms of the real problem. There are way too many elected GOP representatives that are moderates and RINO’s.

No solid conservatives like Gaetz or Massie will get elected to Speaker in this political environment.

“I still want Jordan but she’ll do.”

He’s a milquetoast doofus. He cowered in front of Leslie Stahl when she asked if the 2020 election was stolen. Cat got his feeble tongue and he never responded, but his deer-in-the-headlights eyeballs were epic.
