Former President Donald Trump offered words of praise for House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., saying he is "trying very hard" and is "a very good person."
His comments came Monday evening during an interview with Real America's Voice radio host John Fredericks.
"Look, we have a majority of one [in the House]," Trump said. "It's not like he can go and do whatever he wants. I think he's a very good person. I think he's a very good man. I think he's trying very hard. And, again, we have to have a very big election" to increase the Republican majority in the House.
"We have to elect some good senators, get rid of some of the ones we have right now like [Mitt] Romney and others. We have to have a big day and win the presidency."

Exactly. There were three choices here for Johnson - shut down the government because you don't want to give the deepstate anything. While I am inclinded to the burn it all down option, it takes guts that no one in DC has. Second put together a package with mostly what the deep state wants but some stuff that your voters want as well and the other side a take it or leave it choice Third, give the deepstate what they want and make sure to order things so you get nothing you want. - This is the choice of a feckless coward. It seems to be the choice that was made.
When it comes to personnel decisions, Trump is his own worst enemy.
Speaking of enemy...maybe Trump should be telling Johnson to quit working for the Democrats.
