President Donald Trump met with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday, Trump noted in a post on Truth Social.

"I am very happy to have the full and enthusiastic support of Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida. We had a great meeting yesterday, arranged by mutual friend Steve Witkoff," Trump said in the post, adding that the meeting took place in the Sunshine State at the Shell Bay Club.

"The conversation mostly concerned how we would work closely together to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. Also discussed was the future of Florida, which is FANTASTIC! I greatly appreciate Ron’s support in taking back our Country from the Worst President in the History of the United States. November 5th is a BIG DAY!!!" Trump said in the post.

“Many Ted Cruz Ron DeSantis supporters for 2024 will climb their high horses and pontificate about how magnanimous it is for both President Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to put away the swords and be political allies again. NOT ME!”

I understand your deep hurt over past disappointments but why are you attacking President Trump if you support him?

I guess you didn't actually say you support Trump.

My source tell me that Ben Carson is the vice president pick

Hope not. Too old. He'll be 73 on Election Day.

Trump needs to pick someone much younger for the VP slot so that this person can be groomed for '28.

Dr. Carson would be a horrible pick.

He's a great guy but to nice. DC will destroy him in short order. He would be great at the Department of Education, HHS, or a half dozen other federal agencies, not VP.

But he doesn't make the CCP, Russia, North Korea quake; Trump does!

Neither could he make the Europeans pay up, as Trump did, re NATO.

And as much as age is being thrown around now, today, in 2028, it WILL again will be a thing! Ben is too old.

Close. Right Color. Wrong Man.

Tim Scott.

No. Byron Donalds would be a far more effective communicator than Tim Scott. Plus, it’s much easier to replace a representative than a senator. Tim Scott is OK (ish), but he comes across as more of a typical pre-programmed politician .

“Close. Right Color. Wrong Man. Tim Scott.”

That’s what I understood.
When he became engaged a few
months ago, he said that he plans to be married soon....
so he can get out there and campaign.

Really? That’s a good thing. I’ve always thought our politicians should be married. And of course stay married.

Regarding Tim Scott:

When he first publicly acknowledged his girlfriend in September, he joked to the Post about why he didn’t choose to bring her with him on the campaign trail.

“I can’t imagine dragging her onto the campaign trail unless I have the intention of marrying her,” he said. “I hope that happens, to be honest with you.”

Sebastion Gorka was being interviewed on Newsmax a few months
ago. Someone asked who Trump had chosen for vice president.

Gorka did not reveal the choice, but reporters were
yelling questions.

When asked if it was Nikki Haley, Gorka said, “No.”

Vivek? “No.”

He said it was not a woman.
Then Tim Scott became engaged and made the remark
about getting married before campaigning.

Byron Donald’s is my preference and not Ben Carson

I think Byron is just quicker less passive and comes across knowledgeable on the topics. Ben is very intelligent but just lacks that inspirational factor

I hope Ben is not the vp sorry to say

Well said about Tim Scott

My source tells me your source doesn’t know shit.

LOL! I don't think Trump himself even knows who he is going to pick yet. And if he does, he'll probably change his mind multiple times between now and when he announces.

And I sure hope it's not Ben Carson.

Race pandering will HURT, not help Trump and neither of the choices you mentioned would 1) bring in never Trumpers 2) more black votes 3) and might just lose some GOPer votes.

100%

But if Trump is going to shamelessly pander, he needs to shamelessly pander to Latinos, not blacks. That's where the votes are.

I don't care what race or ethnicity ( except NO MUSLIMS of ANY ethnicity! ) Trump picks; however, I do very much care about WHO that person is re qualifications and what that person adds to the ticket.

And to some extent, so does age now.

I find the whole racial pandering thing distasteful myself. To me, everytime it conjures up the "We'll get our own midget!" scene in "O Brother Where Art Thou."

We are in full agreement; I too LOATHE and ABOMINATE the pandering!

No affirmative Action, no damned DEI, no gender whatever( and there are TWO sexes...gender is ONLY important in some languages! ), and no "special cases' of anything at all.
