Barron Trump, former President Donald Trump's youngest son and his only scion with former first lady Melania Trump, will not be a Florida delegate at the 2024 Republican National Convention, according to his mother's office.

"While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments," a spokeswoman for Melania Trump told the Washington Examiner.

Observe his behavior. Compare to other affluent kids like Prince George and Prince Louis.

It appears to me that Barron is on the spectrum.

Adults picking an 18 year old kid — because they want to show fealty to their lord and master — is not good politics. It is cringe level stuff. It's bad enough that Trump's out-of-control ego drives him to treat the party like a cult of personality. We shouldn't compound it by treating the Trump clan like a royal family.

Geez, "fealty", "lord master", "Trump's out-of-control ego", "cult of personality".

You left out, "Orange man bad".

Your TDS stereotypes are "cringe level stuff".

Young adults who want to show how very responsible they are by making arrangements for housing, getting books and other required study materials together, maybe looking for/applying at places to get a part time job etc, so their wealthy parents will not be stingy with the tuition money and allowance. Those from working class families-like I was-go to work full-time to make money for books and tuition, and try to secure full time employment for the school year so they can get their own apartment and they don’t have to live at home any longer than necessary-they usually can’t afford to go to a far away city/other state for college. Either way, they are looking for a way to be able to also do some partying without breaking the bank, screwing up, or pissing off the parents...

He’s going to need to grow a much thicker skin before he attends any BBQ like that.

I still think he would have done just fine.

His 4 siblings are half-siblings-DJT is their father, too-and they all appear to care for one another and get along-like most adults brought up by decent parents...

WHY?

I’d like to hear...I thought he was a thoughtful young man and wanted to get into Politics.

I hope Melania is not responsible for this.

The offer was a trap if he accepted it... The moment he even approaches being politicly active the media will try to tear him apart... if he had excepted being a delegate left wing journalist would have used it as an excuse to ruin his social life by fallowing him around whatever university he ends up at in the fall.

His siblings are already delegates at large.

“Other family members - Don Jr. and his fiancee Kimberly Guilfoyle, Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump and her husband Michael Boulos - are also delegates at large for the state of Florida.

Ivanka Trump, who served as a senior adviser in her father’s White House, was the only Trump child not on the delegate list.”
