FR really does have an effect. All during the loooooong recount debacle, I was on the computer 8-10 hrs. a day, faxing, emailing, etc., etc. I even called D.C. to request the GOP send in some troops. Called FL attorney Barry Richard's office and faxed evidence of Gore/Daley/DNC dirty tricks for him to use. When it was all over, my hub said "Congratulations hon, you and the Freepers really did it!!"

Since I discovered FR "late in life", I've gotten my education from so many such as AlamoGirl, MiaT, Dogbyte12, John Haung, etc., etc. The information they have found is faster than the national media (including FOXNEWS) and many times more accurate!!

As I mentioned, I'm retired, so when people ask me what I do I reply "I'm an internet political activist on FreeRepublic." Of course they ask what is FR --- then I try to educate them!!
