The Chinese communist media announced that Jiang Zemin and Bush talked on the phone. This news was from the communists. They spun it saying China was ready to join the US and fight terrosim through UN cooperation.
But I think this conversation must have been related to Afghanistan action that is planned.
Also, Bush had better have told Jiang that any more help to Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Libya and other regimes allied with this form of terrorism would be unacceptable.
China's help for Pakistan's nukes has already come in to play big time given the military operation that will take place in Afghanistan.
China is peripherally allied with this new axis and they must decide whose side they are on now.
This goes for every nation.
They have also given nukes and missiles to Iran - perhaps through N.Korea but still, they are responsible. Since the fall of the Soviets the ChiComms have done their best to stir up things in the Middle East.
