McCain still keeps calling America a Democracy. Isn't that some sort of violation of his oath? I mean, if he doesn't even know what America is supposed to be, how on earth can he succesfully work to ensure its safety?

Give me a break with the america-is-not-a-democracy-it's-a-republic semantic onanism. It's tiresome and simple-minded hairsplitting. We live in a democratic republic, and the shorthand is democracy. Should I take you to task for calling this country America and not the United States of America? "America" could be construed as the shorthand for one of two continents...
