President Bush have the best speech he has given to this date.

For as much as I know about Tom Ridge I was so pleased that he chose Tom Ridge. I think he is pro gun so that is good too. I would be very concerned if he had chosen someone like an anti-gun person.

Freedom and our rights have been paid for at such a high price. All our veterans know this better then anyone. And the Freedom and rights we have can be taken away in one signature of a pen. It is so fragile and yet more important then anything.

My feeling is that Bush will never allow our Freedoms to be taken away. We will have to be more diligent and careful about our safety and let the world know that we mean business with these evil terrorists and my belief is we sure will.

I had just finished saying to my husband "I really want him to tell the Taliban to release the aid workers they are holding hostage. He won't but I really want him to." And the very next thing out of his mouth...one of the many reasons I am so proud of our President tonight.

From the gist of his demands, I want to think that special forces will go in and get them, but I could be watching too many Tom Clancy movies. :)

"The best speech ever given by any President."

I seem to recall a little speech in Gettysburg, PA in 1863. But it was a great speech

Thanks for teh post!

Michael Savage said earlier tonight (before the Speech) "Liberalism in America is dead after Sept. 11, 2001."

This MASTERFUL & IMPECCABLE speech was the "verbal coda" of its death knell.

Bush has been called by DESTINY to lead the Nation & the World at this HOUR!

If they don't/can't the Northern Alliance will. They will not be forgotten. (Watch the British SAS)

"-- Release all foreign nationals, including American citizens you have unjustly imprisoned."

This must be in reference to the Americans and other Christians they have in jail and are threatning to kill for preaching Christianity. I sure hope we don't overlook these poor folks.

If we can allow 3rd term abortions, overlooking anyone is easy. We are not who this war is being fought for. Without a Bill of Rights and a Constitution that is obeyed by our politicians we have nothing worth fighting for. We must get Washington to understand this.

Thanks Snow. You are sopt on with the first point ... and I believe and pray you are equally correct on the second point. Either way, and on both points, we must remain ever vigilant.

Regards!

I loved his demands and ultamatums to the Taliban. He put it direct and without any chance of misunderstanding.

I hope we hear tomorrow what "immediately" definitivvely means.

My boys and I were talking about this as he spoke ... thinking like ...

"... and you have twenty-three minutes to accomplish this. That's the time the missiles will take to get there ... several missiles."
LOL! I'm sure we'll find tomorrow or whenever that the "time" is probably measured in days.

It was an outstanding speech.

Another part I REALLY liked was the part about the other nations either being with us, or the terrorists.

Will be interesting to see how China tries and spins that!

Now, especially, every breath I breathe, I thank the Good God in Heaven that I am listening to a President Bush in this time of crisis, and not a pres. gore. I also enjoy seeing the liberals have no choice but to support patriotism even though I know it galls them. They all belong in Pres. Bush's "unmarked grave of discarded lies." Particularly the clintons. Much of this terror can be laid at their feet.

I don't think the words exist that could possibly convey my pride in this man.

THANK YOU, DUBYA!

Wow, Jeff, did you type this all in yourself! Good work, in any case!

Yes, GW has made us all proud. Do you know of anyplace where this whole file can be downloaded for safekeeping? And towards the end, did you see Hillary's dejected look while applauding? Chucky Schumer, consummate actor that he is, looked enthusiastic. We can be assured he's already plotting on how to benefit from this whole situation.

And re:
Am worried about the "Homeland Security" position and the "all measures" to be given to law enforcement.

This is also a deep concern of mine. We must remain ever vigilant. What's new?

I also wonder how America's resolve will fare when the body bags start coming home, as they inevitably will. I pray we as a people will remain strong enough to stay in the fight and do what needs to be done.

Dan Rather said, "...and this will be judged by some to be the best speech ever given by any President".

If we're the "stupid party", why were you so unable to offer another candidate or example of a better Presidential speech?

Is it painfull for the "whiney, bleeding heart party" to see decisive action based upon a clear set of principles?

Gore would have dismissed any military action in the face of this attack, due to possible environmental impacts, and then put out an APB to find out where to send the ransome.

We have seen their kind before. They're the heirs of all the murderous ideologies of the 20th century. By sacrificing human life to serve their radical visions, by abandoning every value except the will to power, they follow in the path of fascism, Nazism and totalitarianism. And they will follow that path all the way to where it ends in history's unmarked grave of discarded lies.

Keeper.

Thanks for the transcript...
Almost reminded me of:
"General-Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization, come here to this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall."
He has gravitas,
He has gravitas,
He has gravitas,
He's gonna go out there and kick some @ss.

After what happened on the 11th ... I believe we will accept it as the awful price we must pay to find and destroy the peopl that planned and carried out this horror and all of those who support them.
