This is not a bad thing, on the face of it. International politics is not like chess. There are a nearly infinite number of variables, and circumstances are likely to change radically from one year to the next. Anyone with a 100 year plan at the beginning of the 20th century, for example, probably didn't fare so well...

The federal reserve/central bankers with their poof created money for themselves and offering "credit" for this money to everyone else didn't do too shabby with their 100 year plan.
