CBS news reported that one of the planes that crashed took off with a hijacker posing as a "deadheading" pilot sitting in the cockpit jumpseat.
There are reporting that 12 MORE PLANES, grounded by the FAA blanket shutdown, were also on the ground taxiing with ARABS riding in the jumpseat!

From the
CBS NEWS site......
Investigators also believe additional terrorists with pilot training are unaccounted for and presumed to still be in the United States. They also think there were no aborted attacks on Sept. 11, nor is there any firm evidence additional hijackings were planned after that date. And despite months of training and years of living in the United States, investigators believe the entire cost of the operation did not exceed $300,000.
So this story from the radio must be a newer version of what's on their web site.......

No aborted attacks? What about the plane at JFK/LaGuardia with the 3 arabic men on board that ran off? Did they all need to go get a magazine at the same time?

If this is true, one hopes the 12 in the jumpseats are now being detained and interrogated. But not just them. Presumably they had four or five confederates in each of the planes -- if the pattern was followed, they were all in first class, and presumably they all have Arabic names, and they were sitting in a group. Those people should be detained and interrogated as well.
It would also be interesting to know what the 12 flights were, what airlines, what takeoff points, what destinations, and what takeoff times. Even if the criminals don't tell us anything, that information might be enough to give us an idea of what the other targets were.

sounds like cbs is doing a bit of racial profiling themselvesJust because there were Arabs in the jump seat on Sept. 11, does that mean they were planning to hijack the airplanes? Probably.......

It wasn't Bush. It was Transportation Secretray Mineta. The man has got great big brass ones to make a call like that on the spot, potentially saving thousands more lives.COUGH-bulls**t-COUGH

Actually, jump seating is quite common for ANY commercial pilot. Just show the crew your ID and they will accomodate you nine times out of 10. You can work flying banners over the Jersey Beach and still get the courtesy extended from pilot to pilot. That is, until now!

That seems mind boggeling to me. Why wasn't it reported before? Are all these jump seaters now in custody? I know CBS is money in the bank (not), but I remain skeptical.

I've got no problem assuming that Mineta made the call and Bush agreed. Bush assigned him because he trusted him. We really *can't* assume that Democrat = "stupid" when the country is at stake. I have no problem that Mineta made a good call and Bush very quickly agreed with him. Unless you think Bush assigned someone he couldn't trust. If you trust Bush, trust Mineta. Duh!!!!!! (I do.)

It was reported on Fox Tuesday night, and there's been an article about it all day on Newsmax.com.

I heard they all walked away when the planes landed, in all the commotion. Who was to know the significance of this at the time? On the other hand, wouldn't it have been prudent to have them sign in or something before letting them into the cockpits?

So are the baker's dozen of jump seaters now in jail? Inquiring minds want to know. If not, why not?

I heard they all walked away when the planes landed, in all the commotion OK we have these planes with the doors closed, maybe taxiing. There are these Arab looking folks in the cockpit, presumably not a typical occurence. Then the sh*t hits the fan (and we know from cell calls that the perps are Arabs in the planes that went into buildings), and the planes are told to return to base. The Arabs in the cockpits of the 12 planes are allowed to walk quietly off. For some reason none of this is reported by anyone until now. What is wrong with this picture?

If you trust Bush, trust Mineta. Duh!!!!!! (I do.) Yeah -- I'm just saying that it's stupid to say that Mineta made the call... I mean, as if Mineta wasn't one of the first people that Bush had on the phone!!
