MISTAKE #1
How many embittered people have listened to Limbaugh and felt so secure and enfranchised that they didn't go out and commit some vile anti-social act or join the forces of Timothy McVeigh?
WOW, the above line reveals this writer as a true nut.
Sounds like the writer suffers from "success envy"
This idiot is projecting.
I'm also truly amazed at people like this low-brow, slack-jawed, drool-monkey, who haven't the least bit of shame at displaying their monumental ignorance for all the world to see. Truly a piece of work.
So - the author of this article must have a sandwich board hanging around himself that has "PLEASE LIKE ME" written on it.
May Reno's tribe NOT increase.
Excuse me? I seem to recall that it was Bill Clinton, during a very big do reception on the White House lawn, who suggested to Reich's face, in front of a very large audience, that he (Reich) was so short, he could live in a doll house that was on display there at the time. Yuk, yuk, yuk.
Very true. The hatefulness on the left is unmatched by any group.
But if they had the true heart of a liberal, it was that Limbaugh would suffer bad ratings or that advertisers would desert his show after marketing research revealed his audiences had the consumer-buying patterns of a Third World nation and low IQs.
Now that is showing 'true heart'. Unfortunately for the left, Limbaugh listeners have high IQ and high incomes.
If his downfall had come from a general weariness with the fact that he is second-rate, sloppy, imprecise and hopeless with facts, who could have viewed it as anything but a sign that quality and clear thinking had found new standing in radioland's shrieking dreariness?
hmmmm...what 'downfall' is he referring too??? Rush is still going strong.
Now we must all wish him a speedy recovery from the hearing disease that threatens his very ability to communicate intelligently and we must retract all the vile things we said that suggested he couldn't.
Oh, you treat people differently because of a handicap. That is very discriminatory of you.
We must ooze genuine sympathy for a man struck down in the prime of having just signed a $285-million contract to go on bellowing through 2009. Above all, we must not behave with the lack of charity typical of Limbaugh when he is on one of his hateful diatribes against the Americans with Disabilities Act. We must resist temptations to recall how Limbaugh made cruel sport of the stature of former Labor Secretary Robert Reich, whose shortness was the result of an unfortunate childhood disease.
Limbbaugh hasn't asked for or does his wish for any sympathy from anyone, especially the left. Limbaugh feels quite blessed.
And while we're at it, we must surely stop patronizing Limbaugh and his audiences as some unwashed horde not deserving of a voice. The man's a hero for taking the frustrations of the ineloquent, the smoldering, inarticulate anger of the gibbering right wing and giving its voice a roar commensurate with its discontent. How many embittered people have listened to Limbaugh and felt so secure and enfranchised that they didn't go out and commit some vile anti-social act or join the forces of Timothy McVeigh?
Sounds like Limbaugh is doing a real service to this country, if you buy into this. Sister Janet must owe her life to Rush for helping keep some wacko from knocking her off.
I have always suspected that in his heart there's a Limbaugh who has a pathetic desire to be liked. It is a common disability in people who preach shrill messages. Anyway, those of us who have been more successful than Rush in the battle with our waistlines can no longer feel comfortable with the term his critics most often use to describe him which is, of course, Al Franken's "big fat idiot."
Rush has lost his weight and as kept it off for a while, the last I knew. What a completely idiotic article.
What the *#&% is he talking about. The only thing I can think of, is Rush's TV show showing Clinton making a joke about how Reich would live in a Desk Top model of a bldg.
On the contrary, when Rush sticks to what he planned to talk about he can be brilliant. What he's never been good at is thinking on his feet, IMHO. He's a lousy debater, and constantly gets debate points scored on him by the yahoos who call his show. This could be because he's not inherently confrontational, despite his volatile reputation.
On another note, its occured to me there's got to be millions of Wiccans and their ilk out there that hate the guy. Any chance the deafness is some sort of spell? Where is Bob Larsen when you need him?
Truth is, he's a factually challenged, harmless eccentric who doesn't even realize he's mainstream. George and Barbara Bush even had him to dinner and to sleep in the Lincoln bedroom in 1992, which is endorsement enough for his credentials as a respectable member of this mindless, celebrity-crazed age.
At least he got there before it turned into a celebrity-only whore-house.
This petunia (Reno's brother) could not come up with anything more timely then to berate Rush's personal medical problem and on top of that he equates it to Reich's height deficiency? And of course what right wing moron would write a piece on Rush without mentioning Tim McVeigh at least once. The sterotypicalness of this is pure nonsense and shows the deep hate he has for equality in commentary.
Bigoted, mind-numbed robots who adhere to the group-think cult of contemporary American "Liberalism", have nothing to do with the word or the concept of liberal or liberalism (OFr < L liberalis < liber, free), nothing to do with freedom or free-thinking.
