[history]
The conflict in the Middle East - where media images are crucial weapons for both sides - moved onto a new battleground recently, as two major corporate donors decided to end their support of WBUR-FM to protest what they saw as persistent anti-Israeli bias in public radio.

That which isn't owned outright must be threatend by sponsorship backing and negative PR. That's the tactic used on all our media. Free Press, HA!

Ditched any connection with NPR/PBS years ago. Just another hidey hole for Nazi fifth columnists; a two-edged sword too - they get to criticize everything American with impunity, and we pay for it with tax money and/or ill thought out donations.
As a country we are a bunch of maroons.

Sorry but people who buy ad time and/or donate money have the right to direct that money to organizations that most reflect their ideals and values and/or the ideals and values of their customers. It's just a damn tough time to be a liberal right now. My perspective tells me that is a GOOD thing. HA HA

Secular American Jews tend to be liberal and peaceniks at heart. They have good intentions, but tend not to be affected by the policies they believe in. After all, asking Israel to put up with the violence in order to preserve the peace effort is being paid by Jewish settlers and not sons/daughters of suburban NY area American Jewish families. The WTC Massacre has changed all that. In the upper floors were the prestiges banking and law firms which employs many Jews from these New York liberal communities. These firms lost bore the brunt of the human casualties in the war of terrorism. The hawkish conservative viewpoints on the world which many deemed in the past to be racists and mean, now seem to be based on wisdom. To these new converts, welcome to reality, roll up your sleeves and join the war effort. NO VICTORY NO PEACEE

Arafat and Sharon are both terrorists, and are not responsible enough to resolve that situation. Now they are asking for our help, but don't listen to our government's orders to stop the Hatfield-McCoy c**p.
To: Sparticle
Sharon is not a terrorist.

I love listening to NPR--even when it is infuriating leftie propaganda--but they have never gotten dime one from me, and never will.
