The USA does not have Gold currency

That is right for you and me, but there is a little secret kept by the IMF. All IMF intergovernmental fund transfers are done with SDR's. An SDR is defined as one thirtyfifth of one ounce of gold. In other words, exactly what the US dollar was defined as before 1972. So when anyone tells you that gold is no longer money, you can know that Central Bankers know otherwise. It is not only money, it is THE money.

Actually, SDRs are valued according to a portfolio of currencies.
