Nice thought, but I still like the thought of the U.S. President asking the question "Saudi who?" at a press conference after we'd sucked them dry of every barrel.

We do NOT need their oil. While 99 cents a gallon gas is nice, I would pay double that just for the satisfaction of knowing that those fanatical, woman-abusing, Christian-murdering, enslaving ex-Bedouin were back living in camel-hair tents where they belong, and for the knowledge that our government was no longer supporting them. We only prop up the Saudis because we see them as a kind of "insurance" against Saddam Hussein, but sooner or later we're going to have to pay the piper for that particular tune. Better on our time than his, but our gov't needs to be making preparations over the long haul for *no more Saudi oil.*
