A lot of people have asked how it all went down. And some thought that what happened on
TheForce.net last Tuesday was ALL the proposal that happened. But there was more to it... much more.
Hope y'all find this a good read, particularly the ladies who had an especialy great interest in the story :-)

Hey Hey back to you. I saw the article in the News and Fishwrap. Looking good my man. I was up in A-ville this past weekend, I figured you were probably back down in the flatlands for the holiday.
Take care,
Glenn

You're welcome. I'd say "Live long and prosper" but that is from a different movie and series. Oh, what the heck. Live long and prosper.
To: Darth Sidious
Thank you for the update.

CONGRATULATIONS, Chris and Lisa!
It's a good thing that she said, "YES!" - after all that preparation.

As an old friend once said to me as I prepared to walk down the aisle with my first wife, "You could save yourself a lot of pain by just shooting yourself now." (It is a joke.)
Seriously, congratulations may you both have a lifetime of love and may all your troubles be little ones.
Stay well - Stay safe - Stay armed(both of you) - Yorktown

It's a good thing that she said, "YES!" - after all that preparation.Six months, this thing was in the works. At first it was just to propose on TFN, then some Star Wars-ish ideas presented themselves. My best friend since kindergarten suggested doing it in costume, and the first idea was to borrow some Stormtrooper armor, hold the helmet in one and the ring in the other (Lisa's "Knight in shining armor" so to speak ;-) Then it was going to be a full Jedi outfit, but some complications arose that kept that from happening.
In the end, it's just me, with the most well-known of Star Wars gimmicks, doing a proposal that was from the heart. Couldn't have been better... and I'm SO overjoyed that she said yes! :-)

Is her dad's name Pat McBrayer?
Congratulations to both of you!
To: Darth Sidious
Its a good thing I'm already married, cuz you have just raised the bar for proposals for all the other single FReepers out there.
Congrats to you both and may you have a long and healthy life together.
BTW Mrs. Cuz_it_aint_their_money sends her congrats too!

...Pigeon Forge (sort of like Las Vegas if it were run by Ned Flanders)...
That's the best description of Pigeon Forge I've ever heard!
Congrats!

Or you could have gone as Ralph Wiggum from the Simpsons, and said "I bent my Wookie!"

And Gatlinburg must be Flanders' take on Reno. Who would have ever thought that in the middle of mountain wilderness, there could be two places so inundanted with tourist traps?
Seroiusly though, Pigeon Forge is beautiful right now with its Christmas decor. I'm thinking of visiting again sometime soon :-)
