Thanks, it was the first handgun I ever shot, at 11-12 years old. I got a Springfield last year from a pawn shop and after a new barrel, it works great.

I understand your point about a slap angering the non-hysterical, but I think the analogy they would use would be a slap to wake someone who has slept through the alarm.

While is understand you point, I had some buddies ( along time ago) whom you would not want to slap awake....not on your life.

My first M1911 was purchased through the NRA/CMP when I was 18. I don't remember the exact price, put it was something ourageous, something like $35.
