As time goes by, I fear it will only get worse. Christians are under a full assault, and the government and judiciary are doing all they can to help.

Particularly in public areas, this means that any holiday recognition or celebration should be religion-neutral.

By public I assume they mean publicly (i.e govt) owned property. Otherwise it is a 1st Amendment violation.

You aren't exposing yourself as an employee, are you? Though I certainly appreciate the information, some organizations don't take kindly to having their memos blasted all over the internet.

Human resource type idiots are as big a drag on our economy as lawyers.

They just sit around all day, trying to figure out new ways to insinuate themselves on people who are trying to work for a living.

To top it off, they set their own salary.

Yep, and you can bet there will be more and more anti-Christian bigotry in the future. If I lived there, I would be sure that all Christians who felt the same way as I did would decorate their homes exactly the way they always did and even moreso! What a bunch of crap.

Diversity Management Division

Here's the problem - people can make a career out of diversity. I bet there is a college degree in diversity somewhere....

I note with disapproval that the holiday of "Ramadan" is mentioned before that of "Christmas". If I knew anybody who works in the offices, I would highly encourage them to stand up for their Constitutional right to express the appropriate greetings to each other. Centuries from now, Europe and the US might be Islamic dictatorships because of the weakness of the political "leaders" of today and the near future, but for now I defy anybody to say that it is "inappropriate" to express one's joy and celebration at the glorious

Holyday of the Nativity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (which is how we name it in the Orthodox Church).

So, according to Seattle, Osama and the Al Qaeda fanatics won the battle with the 9-11 attacks by forcing us to give up our Christmas celebration? Only liberal idiots like this could turn victory in Afghanistan into defeat at home.

uh...religion free? Seems that "Christmas" is a holiday specifically celebrating the birth of Christ. A Christmas without Christ or the Christian "religion" is just a "winter break". And why would that be necessary? And why would we give "winter break" gifts?

It is time to fight back in a big way. Several years ago, I sent my assistant out to purchase Christmas cards for my business. She came back with several samples, none of which mentioned the word Christmas. It was all "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings". I told her I wanted cards with Christmas specifically mentioned as the focus. She said "oh no, you can't do that. It might offend someone." I told her "if it offends someone I'm Happy! Now go get some Christmas cards."

If someone tells you they don't believe we should celebrate Christ at Christmas, tell them to just skip the holiday because that's what its all about!

Who does this @$$ think he is? Get a load of his website - the product of an overblown ego. And as the "executive" of a county, he thinks he can wipe out religion in the name of diversity? woof. This fellow has earned a phone call or two.

Well, my idea, is that any King County-sponsored "religious-neutral" event should be freeped, and hard... a good way, would be for as many of us as possible to show up dressed as either A. Jesus, or B. Santa Claus...

Just because the event is "neutral" doesn't mean the attendees have to be
