We spend, selling through eBay, an average (or rather the buyers spend) an average of $600.00/month on shipping. There are several other eBay sellers in our area spending approximately the same amount. Small village - population 548. I never paid the Post Office, prior to eBay, $600.00/month to send my mail - it was more like next to nothing. To my way of thinking e-mail versus snail mail is being made up by shipping packages. So what say you, the Post Office?

Your are correct! You see, the charge for handling your mail remains constant. It never changes. It always costs a penny a day. It used to cost 3 cents and take 3 days.

You're right--there's another story on that floating around here at FR. The entire postal operation sickens me. What a bunch of incompetent, lazy free-loaders!!!!
