He must have walked his guests of honor out, then doubled back by himself to come into the kitchen...

"How are you all? Wanted to thank you for your hard work tonight."

I bet the Clintons never did this. They obviously did not care about the people who served them, and how hard they worked.

I recall reading a story about something that happened shortly after George and Laura moved in to the White House. They wanted to have a dinner party for their Texas friends, and one of the WH staffers suggested that the party be held in a certain room. GW said, "No, that's too far from the kitchen. It would be too much work for the staff." "Oh, that's all right, sir," the WH staffer replied. "We're used to it. We used to serve Mr. Rodham in that room all the time." Apparently Hillary's slob of a brother, Hugh, used to sit in that dining room all the time and be served like a king, not caring how much work he caused, and he was only the brother of the Worst Lady! Here was the actual PREZ-- GW-- being concerned about the WH staff and not wanting to make them work too hard!

The way it ended up, George and Laura entertained their friends in a different dining room closer to the kitchen. Thank God for George and Laura, and the class and consideration they possess!

Yes, thank God for the President and Mrs. Bush. We finally have two adults in the Whitehouse instead of hillbillies from Arkansas and Tennessee.

I shudder to think where we would be if Algore won the election. We'd all be speaking farsi by now.
