Just send him this response, tell him you "improved" his letter...

It's that time of year again, when I send out the latest updates for the year. And what a year indeed! First, I must get in my "told you so". Yep, Bush has had to deal with the mess Clinton left with the economy, since it took almost a full eight years for Clinton's huge 1993 tax increases to "stimulate" the economy right down the toilet. Thank goodness Ronald Reagan's economic policy gave us about 15 years of growth! Fortunately Clinton's devastation has not hit us too hard in Colorado. Of course, we are a state that went for Bush, so don't blame us!! Matthew is in kindergarten. It's been a struggle but we hope second time's the charm. Sean in second grade. It only took him five years to get there! Of course they have to borrow desks from the fifth grade since he doesn't fit into those tiny ones in his classroom. But he takes after me in the brain department. Marsha is working at home sending spam to unsuspecting email subscribers everywhere. I'm so proud. My job is going well. I think I still have my boss fooled into thinking I actually have a functioning brain. We went to Montana to see Aunt Lisa this summer. Good thing we put a TV and VCR in the Caravan so our children would remain in a zombielike trance the whole drive. When Aunt Lisa heard my wacko political views she promptly threw us out, so the whole trip was nothing but a seventeen hour round trip. Travel is becoming more possible, but I'm too namby pamby and scaredy-cat to actually get on a plane, so I can only travel to places where my Caravan will take us. Lucy has chewed up everything and is now bigger than Matthew. She is a Golden Retriever and we hope to breed her next year with no regard for the millions of unwanted puppies who are slaughtered every year for lack of homes while elitists like me look only to purebred dogs so we can waste $400.00 a pop while hundreds of sad eyed puppies go to the incinerator every day. Wow! Good thing President Bush gave us those tax rebates. Now someone can actually afford to buy the dogs we hope to breed.

OK so I lost alot of investment money this year, because I made incredibly stupid choices. Since I would have liked our $600.00 rebate check go to a prescription drug benefit for the elderly, I promptly went to my local pharmacy and asked the pharmacist to use it to pay for prescription drugs for the next several elderly customers without regard to their need. Yes, the Grinch stole our prosperity (wait a second, I said things were going well for me, oh well, it's the party line) and presided over a horribly inflated stock market and dot-com bust, but now he's gone and President Bush is guiding our country through rough waters with a steady hand. I would bet my salvation that Jesus does not approve of abortion, homosexuality, moral relativism, or any of the myriad other issues the various liberal agenda groups are trying desperately to brainwash the mainstream into accepting. As we return to memories of the 90's, let's remember our present President's father's leadership during Desert Storm, before less than 50% of the voters of this country were duped or too stupid to know better than to elect a slimy, lying, cheating, draft dodging, womanizer to the highest office in the land. I won't ruin your holidays by rehashing the embarrasment of Bill Clinton, but let's all thank him for feebly sending cruise missles to "deal with" the problem of terrorism so that now we can appreciate his leadership as we gaze on the devastation of what used to be the tallest building in New York City. I would act like I know who the anthrax culprit was, but that would be incredibly stupid and asinine so I won't even go there!! Let's hope the War on Terrorism will turn to our domestic terrorists--those who want to hack away at the moral underpinnings and Judeo-Christian values our country was founded on in the name of tolerance and diversity, our beloved Political Correctness.

I have a holiday recipe for left wing wacko souffle--mix a heavy dose of political correctness with big government, with easy access to taxpayer dollars. Mix in some moral relativism with lack of educational standards so as not to ruin any poor little liberal child's "self esteem" with confiscatory tax rates and tax credits to non-payors which result in more taxes "refunded" than were originally paid. Skin (or do I mean skim?) away all investment in the military, diverting all resources to social engineering and the arts. Strip away all traditional values with a clever cleaver, then kill all the babies we possibly can. Remove all tolerance for opposing opinions and sprinkle with condoms for all school children. Bake for eight years then simmer until the good citizens of this country wake up and demand a complete retreat from political correctness, and a complete cleansing of the thought police from college campuses and the media. It will happen folks. Merry Christmas and God Bless America!

Bush and Gore both used their parental connections to avoid serving in the military in dangerous areas.

True

Gore was a war reporter, and had unofficial "bodyguards" assigned to keep him out of trouble. He never saw combat.

Again, true.

Bush was allowed under strange circumstances to join the Texas Air National Guard, and he never even showed up on base for the last month of his stint. He never saw combat, either.

That's true too. However, both served in uniform, regardless of parental influence. x42 didn't.

I had a lawyer teach one of my college business classes a few years ago, and he told the class of this little stamp he'd use when he received correspondence like this. It had "BULL $HIT" in red ink and all capital letters. He'd stamp the correspondence, and mail it back to the sendor.

While he whines about his stocks, just print out a chart of the NASDAQ and ask about that strange drop around April, 2000, nearly a year before Bush was in. Something like this chart.

Sometimes they just need to see the big picture...

my condolences ... but we all have some family members who sjowed up late when they were handing out common sense.

My advice: laugh at him to his face and treat him like the dim-witted village idiot he strives to be. hth

I wouldn't say a thing to your cousin. Anyone who sent out that diatribe as a "Christmas" letter to their entire mailing list has suffered enough.

Oh jeeeez, Sounds like my family Chritmas. My brother in law and sister are Clinton lovers, they even named one of their dogs Chelsea. (Barf)

I have finally learned not to engage in any political discussion with them as they are complete idiots. They seem like nice people and they are succuessful financially, but they are very liberal.

As much as I want to argue with them, it never works into any kind of reasonable discussion. So I just don't go there any more and have as little to do with them as possible.

I think maybe the only proper response would be a heavy dose of anti-psychotic medication in his koolaid. . . .anonymously, of course . . . and only as prescirbed and whatever other legal disclaimers needed.

Words fail me- I don't even send Christmas cards, but the audacity it takes to impose upon your friends and family like this...

I agree with the poster that wants to get together all recipients of the email and stage an intervention- this is simply unacceptable behavior.

Send him a game of Clue for Christmas. Gift-wrapped in re-cycled Charmin. PERHAPS *USED* Charmin? At least with brown shoe polish.

Your cousin is a jerk. I would ALMOST bet my salvation to avow that Jesus doesn't much care for politicized Christmas letters, especially ones of a liberal bent. Thus spake Aliska.

Don't insult this country by having a draft dodger use terrorism created from his dad's mistakes to give money to the rich.

I'd also add that a man who never uses imperative sentences is never commanded to do anything in return.

I would ask him why the rapist Clinton didn't get the old folks a prescription drug plan during the EIGHT years of his dictatorship. Also, I would say at least Jesus knows who the Republicans are?? Jesus would say, Democrap who? You have the wrong number, maybe you meant to call 1-800-SATAN!!

It would probably be too much bother and expense . . .

But my students once lovingly got me a doll made in my likeness . . .

Something like that . . . only . . . with some modifications . . . the head with several holes at the base of the brain and only a few rocks or marbles left in. . . . and maybe anatomically correct minus two round orbs but with an infitesimally small organ. . . .with a note attached--"in the ungrand Billdo tradition of your presidential mentor."

This guy is truly hopeless. Ignore him, he only makes a fool of himself. Who uses a Christmas letter (or e-mail) to pontificate about politics? I can't imagine starting my newsletter out by saying "thank God we are rid of that pervert in chief, but not before he started the economy tanking." This is so entirely lacking in class it will be readily apparent to anyone, even those who agree with him.
