Put them in one of those airtight Tupperware box cars for transport. Alliance commanders can just claim to be trying to keep the captured Al Qaeda's "fresh".

Apparently scores of Al Qaeda have suffocated in these boxes being transported to the prison yards. Darn those Tupperware box care people. I smell a products liability suit.

See in that second paragraph referring to OBL, "alleged terrorist mastermind". I thought we all got past that "alledged" stuff.

Maybe we should start referring to the writers of such pap as "alleged journalists."

"Whatever happened to "fight to the death" ? They gave us their word. DARN"

Funny what no sleep for two months and a million tons of falling ordnance will do to you....

Take no al-Qaeda prisoners. EACH and EVERY one of them must be considered as a potential suicide hijacker and will seek to kill as many Americans as possible as long as they draw breath. REMEMBER 3 MONTHS AGO TODAY. TAKE NO AL-QAEDA PRISONERS!

A couple of weeks ago some UN spokesman said that they don't have any capability for accepting surrenders in Afganistan. I'd be very surprised if they have acquired such capability since then. I think the Al Queda guys are being fed a line of BS to get them to surrender.

I suggest we put on our blue helmets and accept the surrender on behalf of the UN.

This means OBL is not there in Afgan.

Not necessarily, IMHO. . .

The commander added that the prisoners would be turned over to the United Nations and not the U.S. military. He did not clarify if that was one of the conditions of the surrender agreement.

This is the problem with fighting a proxy war. Our interests and objectives are not always protected.

At first, the Al Qaeda chiefs requested a three-day period to study their surrender, but when that was refused they asked if they could give their answer by 8 a.m. local time on Wednesday.

However, that request was also turned down by the tribal leaders whose forces began their offensive after U.S. warplanes softened up the Al Qaeda with intensive air strikes.

In face-to-face talks with their enemy, the Al Qaeda fighters finally agreed to give up on Wednesday.

Translation: We will fight to the DEATH! - NOT! !

"Yeah, that 6 foot five grandma with the razor-burn and stinky burka must have been scurrying quickly down the mountainside with the kids..."

ROFLOL

Wasn't it just last Senday that another "alleged journalist" reported that bin Laden was "personally leading" his 1000 troops in the defense of his "bomb blasted" cave complex?

And what happened to the story informing us that bin Leavin' wants to be shot on live TV?

Ok here is the deal, they hand them over to the UN, we without all rebuilding money from afghanistan, along with all rewards, bounty. Or the UN can pay the bounties.

I know what you mean. At least when Americans choose to fight to the death they mean it (e.g., The Alamo). These guys are all talk.

Can you say daisy cutter? ;-)

The Taliban crumbled fairly quickly when hit by this bomb in the latter part of the conflict. Al Quaeda reacted the same way. Reports last night indicated that screams and cries could be heard from radio intercepts calling for help after the bomb hit.

Underestimate the U.S. again, nimrods!
