Soooo.... you don't like her "talent"... but most folks who buy her music do... Why not leave it at the level of it being your own personal taste...

Solely attributing her seven years+ of success at the feet of Madison Avenue/Hollywood "production talent" alone, belies the fact that she actually sounds good at a live concert, to her fans... which I am not one of... the whiney sound is a bit much for me. But MY personal taste is no indication of someone else's morality. Lots of folks make moral judgements based on how others look... it unfortunate, petty and wrong.

I DO like HOW she performs, how she looks and acts... and think it is pretty funny to hear the ridiculous moralists attack anyone who is successful but does not dress or act like them...

When it comes to items of taste, I think we need freedom FROM religious types as well as freedom OF our own religion in public life... YOU like it your way... and I like it MINE...

YOU keep it to yourself as to your own tastes, religious convictions, dislikes and such... If you don't like something, just don't participate... do it your way, have it your way... and leave MY WAY alone.

Calling the young lady a "slut" or "no-talent xxxxx" as many have done with her, and other female performers is wrong... the girl can sing better than me, and I will venture to guess that she can sing better than the several thousand of us who chat here. She also LOOKS better than most of us do here, which I suspect is the source for "she is a xxxxxx" comments by both men and women here...

People who attack SUV's and their owners, usually don't have one themselves. Same with looks, talent and wealth. Folks who have less than other folks, usually hate them... the rich, the successful and the talented... Spears is all three.

Most church lady types DON'T have much taste or talent... if you claim to like coltraine, you probably have taste... but it is just different from MINE. TOLERANCE of others is not the "evil" folks here try to paint it as...

The "dad" comment was cute... although, you being a consumate "jazz" lover... "daddy-o" would have been more consistent.

"She took our message to heart. There's so many different animal issues, and you can't expect that everyone is born Ghandi. We think Britney has set a great example of someone who listened to what we had to say and made a change."

Cool! An impressionable young hardbody. Maybe I should send her a proposal of mine and see if she'll listen?

But of course, this isn't a sign that she's an impressionable young woman. Obviously she's a mature adult who is bumping-and-grinding her way to fame because she's fully self-actualized and knows what she's doing. Ever since Monica Lewinsky shamelessly seduced the helpless and hapless Bill Clinton we have known that young women are never impressionable and able to be manipulated. We could never draw that conclusion from this quick flip-flop.

</sarcasm>

Shalom.

These PETA clowns have never actually TALKED with a cat.

I've been told (by cats) that cats believe that, while dogs have "owners", cats have "staff".

It appears to be true from what I observe from my two hairballs.

Who wants to win a "culture" war.. or fight one???

The talibans hate our culture... what they see as immorality. Folks who hate our culture ARE the problem in America...

Ashcroft is going to start looking into these religious types that preach intolerance of "cultures" and "morals" they don't approve of... their hatred begets violence, and it IS a problem. The TRUTH is our religious conservatives have MUCH in common when it comes to sex, women and morality: with the Islamic Radicals.

In America you can be whatever you want... you just don't have the right to tell others what they must wear, what they can eat or drink, when and where they can go, once they reach the age of adulthood... That drives religious extremists crazy.

Intolerant folks are the kind that utlimately bomb clinics for "religious" reasons, discriminate against gays, the poor and minorities, and attack innocents of other cultures without provocation. We dont need their kind here in America. Talibanists are sick, whether they be the Christian variety or Islamic.

Attacking B. Spears morally is THAT kind of sick, in my opinion.

My dog is my roomate, but that doesn't have anything to do with us wanting to see the Britney poster. Yupper's, my dog is partial to women, too.

Camels? Her specialty is snakes.

Oh, I see. When you said snakes you meant legless reptiles.

Gotta get my mind out of the gutter.

I have no problem with this information, she can strip as much as she wants and I am sure it will be a most popular poster.. Most women that call her a no talent slut wish they looked like her, most guys that call her a no talent slut say that because they cant get a girl that looks like her, I dont care for PETA at all..but if they get her to strip it will be the best thing they ever done... Isn't PETA one third of the famous sixties musical group....PETA PAUL AND MARY?

,,, never used the word "slut" in my posts, never will. What we're actually talking about here is authenticity. If I wanted to go see a soft porn stripper masquerading as a singer by faking the big "o" into a microphone - I'd pay the price, clutch the ticket and end up defending her like you do, to the point of scaling the heights of stupidity.

What she is offering has been done before and it won't stand the test of time - ask Debbie Harry. It may have been good at the time and I might even still tap my foot to her stuff, however, I'm more likely to change the channel.

I'm making my choice on the basis of variables I've posted earlier on in this thread. Please give me your assurance that there isn't a Robert_Paulson3, 4, 5 & 6 who will try to give me a moral ethics lesson as well based on something as shallow as this topic. When it comes to morals, it may interest you to know that I've been mentally undressing women since my adolescent years and that affords me a certain creativity award in my own right. Obviously, my zero need for eposure to this snake dancer qualifies a certain self security, wouldn't you agree? Anyhow, we won't attempt to quantify that at this point.

She's very lucky to have you as such a dedicated manager and publicist. Now collect your bonus - it's the python.

I only buy them for the lyrics...
