The Boulder police are on this on. Should have this wrapped up in no time.

I agree. A charge as serious as gang rape surely should be investigated by real police.

yet another 'sports builds character' story.

the frequency of such stories is getting to be ridiculous. our athletes, pro and big time college, are simply too pampered. not healthy

yet another 'sports builds character' story

Sports don't "build" character, they reveal it. Not sure who said it but It think it is accurate

If any sport, above all builds character it is golf. At least for those that play "by the book."

ok. sounds more accurate.

if any sport above all builds character it is golf, especially for those who play by the book

ok. i use to play by the book way back when i was on the high school team and golf was free. now that i have to shell out my hard earned money for entertainment and relaxation, i say anyone who plays by the book must be a masochist. in fact, anyone who plays golf period could be accused of being a masochist.

how many months until april?

I have to play by the book in tournaments and I play by the book when I practice or go out with buddies for fun. If I went out and shot 68 but took a mulligan, or 'rolled' the ball in the rough or something the score would be illegitimate and it would bother me.

But the important part of playing by the book, and building character is when a child is learning the game.

if i went out and shot a 68 but took a mulligan...

ok let me rephrase my comment. anybody with my talent who plays by the book must be a masochist.

i agree with your points, they are well taken. with golf, however, i have overcome my need to be competitive (or is it vice-versa!)

Weekend warriors who are playing golf for fun and enjoyment, along with competition and bragging rights among their buddies is a different story. As long as everyone within the group plays by the same rules.

As stated above. My faith in golf building character is in younger kids learning the game. It teaches them alot about life as well.

"...how many months until april?"

Or, for those of us in either Florida or Arizona, "How long till March?"

Next time someone you know gets gang-raped by a bunch of neandrethals, remember your jurisdiction question.

Next time that your home is invaded, your mugged, or a family member is gang raped besure to tell the real police to leave it up to the local campus police. Regardless of the fact that it didnt happen on campus.

Why not just go into the clubhouse and grab a scorecard, go home, and fill it out there? Won't cost you a cent!
