Yepper, ain't they great....neither snow, wind, sleet or hail will stop the delivery of our mail.....of course, they don't tell you that the mail may go to the wrong state or wrong part of the country first!

I used to have a escrow account 140 miles from where I live....just like clockwork, you could figure it took them anywhere from 5 to 12 days to get it here.

When they do their really damnest to screw you up, i.e., the 12 day deal....it is actually cheaper to drive the 140 miles and collect the money.

i've always wondered why a letter to me in wash. state from calif. sometimes takes 7-10 days?
whereas a letter from texas or the midwest usually only takes 3 days?
my belize fiasco turned even worse. i got another envelope for 10 cents. it then cost $1.52 to send!!
so it cost me:

2 34 cent stamps +
new envelope @ 10 cents
new delivery charge $1.52

$2.30 to mail a letter to central america!!!
(i guess i didn't hear about THAT rate hike)
