2. Cross a picket line.
3. Be a proud, white male.
4. Put a lift kit, 35" tires, a gun rack, and a confederate flag on your SUV.
5. Tell them the first black president will be Alan Keyes.
6. Just laugh when they mention election 2000.
7. Be consistant, rational or logical.
8. Ask them why they do not walk/bike to work, use solar power, own an electric car, butcher their own meat, send their kids to public school, etc.

So true!!!! I was thinking the other day about how when Dems want to embarass Reps they drag up people that even Reps are embarassed by (ie Duke) but Reps can blast Dems by bringing up the ones they cherish (ie. Jackson)

That's a wonderful list, really, but it completely preaches to the converted. What conservatives MUST do is leave the religion out of it, for starters ... our founding fathers decreed we not have to listen to preaching on a national basis ... tho they were god-fearing men, they were well aware of how strident and intrusive religion can be. Each person must be free to choose his or her own relationship with God. Also, conservatives must not dwell on the divisive issues -- guns, abortion, etc. To do so alienates the audience instantly. Instead, do things gradually ... praise the president, for example -- even liberals are beginning to like him; praise the unity of America in the wake of Sept. 11; talk about DOCUMENTED government excess; discuss the extreme bravery and stick-to-it-iveness of Rush with his hearing crisis -- I have found even liberals admire him for that. Find COMMON GROUND and work from there. That is entirely the only way. And, of course, turn everyone onto FR as the best news source in the land (which it is).

I tell them "You know, I've never yet met a liberal that could pick an issue and out-debate me. Liberals are ignorant, usually stupid (but not always), and lean too heavily on emotion. I regularly eat 'em alive and challenge ANY liberal to an intelligent debate. They'll lose."

I was reading a commentary by someone who was comparing the three branches of the US government to the three members of the Trinity. Specifically, this person discussed

- how the three were equal
- but each had different responsibilities
- none did the job of the other
