Exerpt: "The connection between the Frankfurt School and the student rebellion of the 1960s was made primarily by a key Frankfurt School member, Herbert Marcuse -- the man who in the '60s coined the phrase, "Make love, not war." Marcuse's books, "Eros" and "Civilization," argued that the tools with which to destroy Western culture were, in effect, sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. He popularized the Frankfurt School's ideas in ways the '60s radicals could understand and absorb, and we now know his work as political correctness."
What has changed since 1999 ? We don't have the evil ones to focus our direction on so it turns into a free-for-all over meaningless gibberish. I was a lurker in those days and enjoyed the trashing of whats his name. The only distraction was the far out conspiracy cases.
1)Social security IS slavery.
2)We must imprison all who support terrorists, physically or monetarily -- but it is OK to enrich China by engaging in trade because when the Chinese government aborts babies, they sneak up on them real slow so as not to TERRORIZE anybody.
And thats the important thing, to have a Merry Christmas.
Whereas conventional Marxist-Leninists were hostile towards the non-Communist left, Gramsci argued that alliances with a broad spectrum of leftist groups would prove essential to Communist victory. In Gramsci's time these included, among others, trade unions, and socialist political groups. In our time, alliances with the left would include radical feminists, extremist environmentalists, "civil rights" movements, anti-police associations, internationalists, ultra-liberal church groups, and so forth. These organizations, along with open Communists, together create a united front working for the transformation of the old Christian culture.
There you have it. That is the Left, in its latter-day incarnation. There is our enemy.
