Argentina's fate could very well have been Americas. Thank God a Clinton was not elected in 1932.

That could be a disaster, too. After the last military coup and the ensuing "Dirty War" of the 1970's and '80's, Argentina was forced to scale its military way back to prevent any future military government takeovers. It will be interesting to see what happens next.

I hate to see this happen to Argentina. It has a special place in my heart. It's a beautiful country with wonderful people and great food, but they've just never been able to get it right. The Perons were able to screw it up real good all those decades ago.
