Indeed, the enemies of Mr. Buchanan betray the weakness of their argument by their shrill cries & the constant, cowardly punching of the idiot abusue button.

US citizens have become tax-slaves, working to suport an underclass here & abroad. The criminal alien feeds on us here & sends so much $$ out, it is a major component of gov GNP-Mexico, Middle East, et al. For decades, Arab criminal aliens have been under qoutas to steal $$ daily ( via check, money-order & other fraud ) & send it over-seas. The FBI had constant trouble keeping up with this major criminal activity.

Worshipful Bushfans will dog you till they banish you. They are reaching for the abuse button now, but may be distracted by today's batch of Marlboro Man photos from the WH press office-"You sure are lookin good in that pick-up & cowboy hat, Mr. President!".

No one deliberately attempts to lose money in a venture.

There are honest ways to make money. Tysons bribed Clinton so they could bypass meat safety laws, now we see salmonella in chicken very commonly. They also brought in all kinds of illegals from Mexico to work at their plant for dirt wages instead of providing honest jobs for American citizens.

Mexico isn't going to solve it's problems by sending out hundreds of thousands of it's unwanted people every year, the only reason Mexico has so many poor is because of it's corrupt political and economic system that denies them hope in their own homeland---meanwhile Mexico competes with Germany in number of millionaires. Many of the Mexicans don't want to give up Mexico, their way of life, their language---not that that's bad per se but that isn't why people should come to the US. Instead of Fox demanding we take them, we should demand the Mexican leaders to change the system over there so it's liveable for more than that 10%. We should only have immigrants who really want to be American, want to learn our language and culture, our Constitution. Political refugees are one thing but people who come for the money but don't love America aren't what we need.

The DNC prints this thread-& they are thrilled at every Leftest weakling who attempts to smear truth with empty ad hominem attacks. Hoods? What school yard tripe. I may hit the abuse button!

We have very many like that here. We had the garment workers who came here over 20 years ago, never learned a word of English or obtained an education. Now their jobs are lost --sent to Mexico with NAFTA and the majority are on some kind of government program still. They only came for the money and low wage jobs, those are gone but we taxpayers will be taking care of them the rest of their days.

There are some very good immigrants who are eager to learn the language and our history ---but those are the only ones we need. All the ones who still display their Mexican flags and refuse to learn our language aren't the type we need here. They might be useful as low wage workers for a time but with low education levels, they are too inflexible when times change. It's a myth that they all come to work though because even places with very high unemployment rates like we have here ---9-10% in good times, they still move in ---we need to do something about giving citizenship to a baby born to illegals who come over just for that reason.

Note that Bush senior, Clinton, Bush jr. and most, if not all, government agencies are just as much in favor of this ridiculous open border plan as Fox. One can only conclude that the obvious damage being inflicted on our economy through unchecked immigration is deliberate. These policies supercede the welfare of the sovereignty of the citizens of the United States.

Instead of blaming the victims (foreign immigrants) we need to start cleaning up our own governemt.

Unfortunately your  ad hominem attack did nothing to bolster your side of the debate.  And I notice your original remark was removed as well.  Your readers await the quotes from Mr. Buchanan which will in some way support your contentions.

By 2050, only 10% of the world’s people will be of European descent.

So what, Pat? These are the statements that get him into trouble. Rightfully so.

I think that we all agree that illegal immigration is a big problem for American taxpayers.. but Immigration should not be perceived as a threat to American Culture.
I personally do not see a need to more legislation to prevent illegal immigration. It'd would be so simple to just enforce current laws
1. Border states should get additional funding to deploy their state guard or increase border patrol along US borders.
2. forget National ID Cards, just make sure that the current US IDs are legitimate. Re DLicense whole states if necessary, make banks, phone co., GAS/Electricity Co., ask their customers for proof of citizenship, proof of residency for foreign citizens. Make this mandatory for renting property.
3. Employment auth. checks. it takes seconds for VISA to check if one credit card is valid in a database of billions. the .gov should be able to provide employers with a system to check for employment auth.
4. like it or not, these people are part of the economy... The US needs a Migrant Work Program. Illegal in the US should register with the INS, be given a 1 year work permit in which they're required to work (and pay taxes) nine months out of the year.
5. Triple penalties for hiring illegal workers. Will this face opposition in southern borders states? of course it will. Will there be a second term (or a political future) for whomever proposes this? probably not. and that is where the problem is. Back to the book. I have not read it, will wait for it to come on tape/CD. but from the short review posted by drudge, it seems that he, (and most people in this board), is too hung up on non-eurtopeans/non-christians becoming a world (and US) majority over the next few decades.

An abuse button-my God, what power you wield. Thanks for saving all of us from seeing evil. Please, would you devote your full time attention to this & some other forums, scanning them for improper & inapropriate speech, that they may not offend? What a calling you have. Smite the wicked!

My silly favorite.."The End of Science", check this out:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David Gergen, editor at large of 'U.S. News & World Report," engages John Horgan, senior writer at "Scientific American," author of the "End of Science, Facing the Limits of Knowledge in the Twilight of the Scientific Age."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MR. GERGEN: Newton, Darwin, Einstein, Watson, and Crick, great men, great discoveries, great ideas. Your essential point in your book is we’ve come a long way but we’re reaching the end of discovery. Tell us about how far we’ve come first.

JOHN HORGAN, Author, "The End of Science": Well, first of all, all these great scientists in the past have helped us create a kind of map of all of reality from the very small scale of quarks and electrons right out to the edge of the universe, to the galaxies and quasars that we can see there through our telescopes. We have discovered with telescopes that the universe is expanding and at one point was much hotter and smaller than it is now. So there seemed to have been some kind of great explosion about 15 billion years ago that created the universe. Physicists have shown that all matter consists of a few basic particles ruled by a few basic forces. When you look at the history of life, we know that all life descended from a common ancestor that appeared about 4 billion years ago, and it became enormously complex and created all these different species through the process of natural selection and Mendelian genetics. My argument is basically that in the future, we will be filling in details within this framework that scientists have already created with all these different theories, and there won’t be any great revolutions analogous to the theory of evolution or to Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity or to quantum mechanics.

"Sheet Party" Your comments fit my definition of ignorance. They are ugly, indeed. Illegal immigration is a criminal act, carried out with the encouragement & blessing of our be-knighted leaders, under the false and perverted rubric of PC diversity & economic opportunity ( for those 'others' deemed worthy by their non-Western culture). Insults ( like yours ) which stoop to such low levels do not grant any validity to criminals who would come to take what is ours ( sovereignty & tax money ). These criminals supposed nobility & racial variance from some of us, you seek to employ, unsucessfully, to obfuscate & distract from real issues-criminal violations of our borders, culture, economy & language on a truely Biblical scale.

LOL. Reminds me of the guy who wanted to close the patent office back in the 1880s because everything of significance had already been invented.

Thanks to you for your #873 to the Gonzo fool. You are succint but are still very thorough. The next question, IMHO, is will this thread ( and the constant deletion by the forum secret police ) cause many to abandon FR? Surely, many now think less of a 'not free' republic. I have pondered ( for the last week or two ) a small monthly stipend, via credit card, to pay for the space I have consumed & the agrevation I have caused the 'moderator'. Now I wonder if I am in the wrong place entirely. Fear of comments that may offend is a strange fear, indeed. One wonders who or what the moderator fears, so much as to delete people & the things they say. The FR has been very useful for finding the headlines & stories of interest but I shall look around the web some more.
