I won't be around in 2050 either but my grandkids will be. I want them to have something. Did you ever stop to think about that?

While I don't agree with alot of Buchannan's take on this issue, if the founding fathers had portrayed your selfish attitude then you wouldn't be able to enjoy the lifestyle that you have since your birth. Most of the founding fathers never realized their dream for this country in their lifetime, it was their children (and you) who reaped the benefits of their selfless sacrifice.
